I am having the RNY on 10/28! I am scared to death and excited at the same time. I have 3 little kids and my fear of the surgery is starting to get the best of me! Please pray for me.

Topic: Need Support and friends post op the realize band.
I am trying to find some online friends post op of the realize band. I was banded in Tijuana and now I feel like I am going through this with no support. I had my procedure 10/17/08 and I am starving. What am I doing wrong. Is there something we can eat to take away some of the hunger pain? I just would like to be able to talk to someone that I know understands what I am going through.

Hi Shelia B. I am Ellen From Cleveland Al. My husband is from Butler,Al. I talk on the OH Bama Board. Come join us there. We have a great group of people. Some have had band some have had other WLS. We don't care, just jump on in and talk to us. We will give you lots of support, because we have been where you are at. Waiting. I had my WLS in May 2007, lost 102 lbs. wear a size 6 pants NOW!!! not 26! We understand why you want WLS, to be Healthy again, to walk, to tie your shoes, just to live longer. Yep, I had a BMI of 35.4 and very few mild comorbidities. Every insurance is different of course but I had no problems at all. I was approved THE DAY my surgeons office submitted the request. I had RNY 10/15/08.

I had my RNY about 10 days ago and I got rid of my gas by rocking in a rocking chair. I rocked pretty vigorously and was farting up a storm before I knew it....lol! Also walking helped but with all of the gas *I* had there was no way I could walk that much! Good Luck!

Hi all, I am new to this site but am post op as of Oct. 17, 2008. I just need to know if anyone else out there went to Bajanor Hospital in Tijuana? All went well except I am still trying to find the doctors that hospital is affiliated with here in Texas so I can have my follow ups and fills if needed.
Man the week I thought I was going to die and starve to death at the same time. I hurt, I was hungry and I was and am still worried about having no doctor but at least the 2nd week menu is much better. Anyway just would like to find out if anyone else went to this hospital for their lapband. I am starting to fill like I am able to eat too much and I would just want some support.
Here is food for thought.
I might see you every single day,
But you will see less and less of me daily.

You lucky thing, food based liver reduction diet! I am jealous! Although I am sure thats incredibly difficult as well. Wishing you the best of luck! Feel free to message me if you need someone to compare notes with, post op =)
