WAS WONDERING HOW ALL MY FELLOW OCT. 8 TH SURGERY DATES ARE DOING ? I'M DOING WELL ADJUSTING TO MY 3 SMALL MEALS  OF BLENDED FOOD PER DAY, SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO EVEN GET THAT DOWN... STILL HAVING MUCH PAIN ON MY LEFT SIDE, KEEP PULLING IT WHEN I TRY TO GET UP FROM COUCH , UGH !!! STILL TAKING PAIN MED. FOR THAT... OTHER WISE I'M FELING GREAT AND HAVE LOST A TOTAL OF 45 LBS. WHI*****LUDES MY PRE- SURGERY WEIGHT LOSS.... GOD BLESS, SHORTGRAM ( FROM WASHINGTON STATE)

I am suprised to see so many early post ops saying how good they feel. I am still taking my pain meds religiously and it hurts to move and walk my left side is the worst!!  Am i just being a big baby or does it take some people more time to get feeling better?

Just need to get this off my chest. Most days I'm glad I've had surgery.. I'm 4 months post op and can eat just about anything as long as I take my time and chew chew and chew some more. But Wednesday was a bad day and I couldn't keep anything down. My puch was upset with me and I'm not sure why? VERY ANGERY. I know I need to eat slowly but I just can't get it through my thick skull. You'd think after tossing your meal in the toilet your head would say hay buddy listen up and get your act together. I talked to my wife and she thought this was very amusing. HA HA. I'm sorry to whine I'm just looking for sympathy from someone who has been there, done that and understands. Well, thats off my chest and ya know what. I still don't feel any better.

  I am in Minnesota and had surgery on the 28th as well. I got home yesterday. So far so slow. I am still mesmerized about the fact that I have to make myself drink. I lived on McDonald's diet coke pre-op and here we are. I've never posted before on this site, but I also have 2 young children. Hopefully you are getting up and around.     Wendy

Hi!!

I had the Lap Band surgery done August 2006, and I have only lost 12 pounds since the surgery.   I have difficulty eating the foods I should because they seem to lodge in my esophagaus.    This only reason I tell you this is because, if, it doesn't work out, your insurance might not pay for a revison.  I am trying to get one because I fell it has not worked for me, and it is difficult. 

Just do more research.  I am trying to get a revision to the DS switch. 

The Lap Band has worked for many'  however, it has not worked for me.
