So excited it's over, or actually just beginning!!!  Surgery was successful and I'm recovering.  For me the recovery is slow-slow-slow.  3 days after surgery was the worse for me, uncomfortable, gas, pain, etc...and today is a little better.  So I am hoping the rest of the week will even be better.

Anyone else.....recovering from lap band surgery???  Would love to know how you are feeling.

Congrats on your surgery. I didn't have lapband but had VSG instead. It will take awhile for some of the soreness to go away and just be careful. With laparoscopic surgery recovery is so much faster so you will be going strong in a few days. Just make sure to keep up your proteins!

Best of luck to you!!

Congrats on your surgery. I had mine on Monday 10/27. Lap-band.  Have some soreness at the port site, am trying to behave and take it easy. Walking every hour helps with the gas stuff. I have 4 weeks of liquids now and hope to be able to stick with the program.  I'm trying to think of a good name for my band...any suggestions?

I just came home yesterday.  I had surgery on Fri.  The surgery was fine but I'm in a lot of pain from gas.  I feel like a blimp.  I'm hoping that tomorrow will be better and each day will improve after that.  Good luck ....I hope by now you're feeling great.

The worse is finally over....it's been 12 days and I definitely feel relief from the surgery.   I am now eating soft foods and so far, so good.   After 3 weeks of the liquid diet, everything is delicious.  I am still sore, but the pain is tolerable.  For everyone who just had surgery, it does get better, and for those who are ahead of me, keep posting...hearing everyone's stories is helpful to my success!
