Period? 4 days b4 surgery

I was scheduled for surgery today but, due to a sinus infection, I was given antibiotics and rescheduled to get surgery after I finish them.  I had my period today as well.  Before I was prepared for surgery, they provided a pad and underwear from the hospital.  So, I believe having your period will not affect your surgery at all.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sinus infection.  We prepare for so long it really sucks when a stupid virus puts us off, but better to we well when you have your surgery so you don't have a harder time healing.  Hopefully you'll be scheduled straight away.

I'm actually from the November board, but I though some of you may be coming home from surgery and I wanted to read about your experiances.
This was a good question, one I've been thinking about. My cycle is so messed up due to my weight, that I never know when it's coming. I wondered if they'd cancel on me. I'm so glad to know that's not the case.
Thanks for setting one of my many fears aside.

For you ladies just coming home and those still at the hospital, I wish you a speedy recovery. For those about to go it, I'm still thinking of you.

I got mine the day after my surgery. Thank god I took some tampons with me because they came in handy. I had a catheter in so I couldn't wear pads or undies! I would imagine they would have just taken the cath out sooner if needed but I have to tell you how interesting it was trying to put a tampon in while sore and with the cath in.
