Postponed surgery

I had posted earlier in the week to say that I was having RNY surgery on 9/30. Unfortunately, I got a call 10pm the night before that my brother had suddenly passed away. I cancelled the surgery and I've been out of town since then. The services are Sat and Mon, so I will be going out of town again tomorrow. I have to reschedule the surgery, hopefully, later in the month. My brother was a HUGE support to me and very much in favor of me having the surgery, so I know I'll go through it soon. My daughter lives in Boston and she had come to Phila. to help take care of me...thank god she was here...she was a voice of reason when I was not thinking clearly.

I'll touch base again when I get back in town. Hope everyone is doing well.

Thank you for your kind words. I am home for the day, but tomorrow I have to travel for the funeral in MD. When I get home, I have to contact my surgeon to reschedule my surgery. This certainly brings home the importance of improving the quality of your life and none of us is here forever.
