Anyone else have surgery next week

 I'm having surgery on October 7 and I'm SO happy i can't stop smiley my faces hurts from smiley so much. I have everything i need do but my bag which I'm packing today. I cleaned my house from top to bottom making sure that it is clean for next week. My mom is going to keep my son for me for 2 weeks after my surgery so i can heal and get better. And she is going to come over and clean and so are my 2 best friends. How is everyone else dealing with there waiting time? Today i have my pre- op and tomorrow i have my appointment with my doctor. I will keep everyone in my prays.

MY big day is Oct. 6th!! Finished with all  my pr-op appointments, bag is packed. Now the time is moving real slow!! Think I'll et mancure and pedicure tomorrow. Guess I better cleanmy house too.  Monday seems so far away.  You will be in my prayers.

My surgery is Monday the 6th. No go on the manicure and pedicure. I was told at preop assessment that I had to remove my polish and acrylics so they can see the nail bed to monitor me. I was told I couldn't even wear clear polish!
I guess the day at the salon for me will come a couple weeks after :(

I had my visit with the surgeon today to go over my last lab items.  We are all set for Oct 8th ... yea man!!! Woot Woot.

I, like you, am so happy that this day has finally come around.  I didnt think about packing my stuff...better do it now so that I am not scrambling at the last minute...

I could also make sure the house is clean so that I don't have to worry about it when I get home!!!

Congrats on everyone's surgery next week. I am so excited for all of us.

Packing? I will probably pack Monday evening. What all is everyone taking anyway. Here is my list.

set of clean undies & socks
chapstick
hair brush
toothbrush & paste
robe
slippers or flipflops
set of clothes to come home in
my own pillow
laptop (which my hubby will hold onto)
camera
scrapbook misc little stuff to work on
book

I think that is it.

OK here we go! My surgery is October 8. Looking at all your replys it looks like everyone will have a clean house. I guess I will clean and pack on Tuesday. I had my before picture taken last night, YUK I plan to go forward leaving my "baggage" at the station.

Hi, My Name is Melissa. I am also having surgery RNY on October 7th. I am happy also, just nervous.  this is the biggest life changing thing i've done in a while. Good Luck on Tuesday. I hope everyone that is having, had, or will be having surgery will do AWESOME!!!

 Thank you lady keep me posted on how things go next week we are almost there i can't believe its friday already this weekend is going to go by so fast and before we know it will be monday and then tuesday and then wednesday so good luck to us all and i will eep you all in my prays.

I am also going in on October 7th.  I wish you all luck and a safe journey also.  I haven't packed or cleaned or anything yet because I've had to work so much overtime, it's unreal!  I am still working all weekend and even Monday!  I work for myself so I really don't have a choice.  If I don't work, I don't get paid and they'll be quite of bit of time of not working for recovery and surgery.  I am overwhelmed right now because I have more things to do than I could get done before surgery so I am frazzled but I kind of feel like this was meant to be so that I don't have time to get too nervous, scared, etc.  Believe or not, I'm liking looking forward to going into the hospital for a "break"!  LOL!

Hi I m new to this site and  I am having my surgey Mon. I am so excited and nervous. I am going to be soo busy today well later today I have to pack my bag adn clean up my house which is a disaster.  I seem to be the only one here from NYU on mon. well if anyone else is out there I would love to hear from you.
