I'm running out of intersting idesa for protein shakes... I could use some help.

What is your favorite protein shake?

I have been drinking the following concoction for about 2 weeks at breakfast:
8 oz lactose free/fat free milk
1 scoop of vanilla protein
1 tablespoon of hazelnut instant coffee
1 tablespoon of sugar free vanilla coffee syrup
I blend it for about 30 seconds in my miniblender.... It's really good but I could use a few new ideas.... I got this one from youtube.

For those of us having surgery on Oct 8th-----  Its just around the corner....

I havn't had surgery yet. However Im having it soon at the end of the month. Now my sister in law had the band done back last year. Now, she gave me some protein she had left over. It is at Costco- not to spendy.

EAS Protein w/ Whey.

Chocolate Flavor or Vanilla
I mix mine w/ milk or blend it for a shake like taste. It isn't bad at all!

One of my favorite treats these past 12 days is Unjury Pumpkin pudding.

2 scoops (servings) Unjory unflavored protein mix
1 package sf/ff instant vanilla or butterscotch pudding
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
some cinnamon, ginger and pumpkin spice ( 1/4 t each)
1 cup skim milk

Mix dry ingredients, add milk and whisk together. Add pumpkin, whisk together. Divide into 3 containers and chill.

Where do you find the Unjory?

Also, what kind of pre-op diet are you all on?  I was told I could have as many protein drinks w/skim milk as I wanted, plus plain chicken breast, turkey breast and tuna.

This is my day two on the pre-op diet and I am already thinking - yikes, this is going to be so hard.  I almost don't care that I am hungry as much as I haven't like the shakes I've gotten so far that well.

Thanks for the recipes so far, I do plan on going and trying them.  Didn't realize I could use instant pudding - that might help me some!

My surgery date is October 16th - so can't believe it is sooo soon!!

It sounds like you could use a recipe. I had my surgery lap band 3-6-08.  My favorite recipe was

1 tablespoon Splenda or 1/2 packet
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
2 table spoons non fat dry milk powder-Carnation
7 ounces of silk milk
3 ice cubes of silk milk
2 1/2 tsp of whey or soy powder

Blend together in a bullet or blender and eat with spoon.

I also added a litte sf whip cream to top.  Your going to love this.
