Why are some people so CRUEL !

Kudos to your mom for being the better person and not stooping to their level.    I truly believe that what goes around comes around.  That person had no right to speak to your mom like that.    WTH!!!!!!!!!  Sounds like your mom has a great attitude and that has probably helped her tremendously. 

Wow!!   You would think that a grown man or women would have more respect for our elders, yet even though some may grow older in years, they don't always grow older in respect to the age they act. I  don't know if some people will ever change the way they think , and that's okay i guess, but they definitely don't need to speak it out loud. i also give her cuddo's for being the kind, and more mature person, and letting it go. i just hope that it didn't hurt her to much, because she deserves better. I have always had ache to want to reach out and smack the living **** out of people who think their better, just because thier not obese.  only if they walked a second in at least my shoes, maybe they wouldn't think that way. "maybe"

Hi, I have a mother who is also 77, and she would tell him to get lost....not in such a nice way either.  My feelings on people who do not have respect for elders and handicapped people is that they are insecure in themselves, lack intelligence and manners.  I am so sad to have read about this happening to your mom.  A lot of people are plain stupid, and do not have respect for others, never less themselves.  God bless your mom and you.
