Another October date - I will be banded 10/13

Hi all - this is my first forum post at Obesity Help! I am on the fast track - seminar late August, surgeon consult 9/22, dietrician and psych consults today, and surgery 10/13. I am self-pay so no insurance hoops to jump through. I'm nervous, and a little scared, and anxious, and tired of the wait already - I just want it over with so I get get on with it!

I turned 50 this year so I have the 2nd half of my life waiting for me ~~ and it's going to be healthy, fit, and maybe even longer than the first half (if that makes any sense ).

I am having Lap-Band, and if all goes well, I will be the first at this hospital to have it as day surgery. In the OR at 8AM, barium swallow by noon, and discharged by 1PM.

hello and congrats to you i am new also in fact you are the first i have written i also will be banded here in illinois next thursday i am so excited to say the least  well good luck to you our surgery date is sort of like a new birthdate!!!!
