October 29th - I can't wait!

They called today to schedule my surgery for October 29th. I am so nervous now...funny because I have been preparing for this for a year!
The REALLY funny thing is the second thought in my mind was, "I won't be able to take my 3 year old trick or treating!"

Congrats on your date!  October 7th here!  Although I'll be a newbie, I'll make room for you on the loser's bench (hee hee, that's the first time I've said that)!  I'm getting very nervous now too.

It's crazy, isn't it???  I look at all the before and after pics and I am floored...

I am so happy for you!  Maybe we can stay in touch and I'll know a little better what to expect!

That's great.  I'm the 28th.  It all happened very fast for me.  Got my date 5 weeks after consulting with the surgeon.  I"m glad because my nerves couldn't take it longer than that.  I'm VERY nervous about the liquid diet.  How many times did I quit a diet from being week and shaky?  And now this??? 

I have been going through this process for over a year now...so I am VERY ready for it to be done with...

yeah, the liquid diet is SO HARD...but I am trying VERY HARD to stick to it...you know, if I was able to diet, I wouldn't be this big!!!  DUH!

Hi Carolinagrl, we are starting our losing ways together. I am having my lap band done in Detroit on the same day.  I will be back home in KC on Halloween of course I wouldn't feel like taking anyone out trickertreating though, see you on the losing side. Ron

10/29.  It's funny, last year at this time, I was stashing candy in my drawer at work so that I didn't give all of it to the kids!  And this year - no candy at all.   Actually, I can up until the day before.  I had heard so many people talk about the pre-surgery liquid diet, so I called and asked my surgeon.  The nurse asks me - "If you could stick to a liquid diet, would you need me?"  So, each doctor handles that a little differently.  I have tried cutting back on things on my own.  Some things I am waiting until the last minute to give up!!!!
