Karen, I hope you are doing wonderfully since surgery. I too had my surgery (RNY) this past Monday, the 8th. I have my moments but for the most part all is going very, very well. I honest to God think I am grieving over the amount of food I cannot eat. Isn't that stupid? I feel like a idiot. Oh well, surely my mind will catch up with the program. My tummy is not hungry but my head says OMG your not eating enough. I am sore and I am sure you are too. Walking and rocking helps a whole lot. Anyway, GOOD LUCK.. Mimi

We have the same date. I start my diet tomorrow, I'm not looking forward to it. I just hope the two weeks go fast!

Hi,
I did a lot of research and the sleeve was my surgery of choice but my insurance compnay would not approve it, only RNY. It appears to be similar to the band except your stomach is stapled. (Cut and stapled) No rearanging of instestines so you don't have all the possible vitiman dificiencies.

I am on day 3 of my liquid diet and it is really hard. It is going to be great in the long run, but today I feel hungry. My surgery is October 18 and am getting really excited! Good luck!

I want to wish you the best of luck with your surgery. Everything is going to be fine. Its normal to be nervous, I have mine on Monday so I know what your going through. But you have a lot of people here cheering you on.
