Topic: Tuesday is the big day!
I can not believe it, I am totally freaking out. Having the silliest thoughts that I am going to "screw this up" ie.. not be able to do just liquids and no "real" food or catch a cold and have the surgery canceled. I have a very overactive "****ty commitee"LOL. I'm trying to keep busy and not think about things but every so often, it just hits me and I just go down the tubes. I am really scared. I know it is b/c it is new to me and that this is normal but damn it does not make me feel 1 ounce better , in the moment that is. :>) However I must say that I feel much comfort is reading everyone's experiences, it puts my ming at ease. Well thanks for allowing me to dump all this and reallly thanks for taking the time to post when you do. It really does have an impact. Please keep me in your prayers for a smooth uneventful surgery on Tuesday, thanks again.
oodles of gratitude.,

Topic: My surgery is this Tuesday!
Hi everyone!
Well, the date is finally approaching for my RNY. I am now having my last 24 minutes of solid food before my liquid diet for pre-op. I am so ready to do this! My best friend had the surgery 20 months ago with my same surgeon, and she is doing great. I just wish I could skip ahead to where she is. I'm grateful for her support. I have learned so much from both her, and a few others who have had the surgery, as well as all the books I've read. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Hi Becky,
I'm also having my RNY this coming Tuesday at 7:30a.m. I feel like you do, I'm ready to get on with my life. I have 29 minutes of solid food time left to go, then on to the pre-surgery liquids. We are going to do great! Where are you located? I'm in Atlanta. Take care.

Topic: RE: Back Home from Banding
Hey I've learned after having two C-Section. The only thing that gets rid of the bloatness is to walk it off. Good luck on you new journey.
Topic: RE: Surgery Date 11/2/07 and I need to lose 20 lbs.
My surgeon wanted me to drink carnation instant breakfast no sugar added 6 packets a day with skim milk and chicken or beef broth and sugar free jello to eat. Today is day 6 and I have surgery on the 18. I haven't weighed, but I assure you it has to be working.
