Good luck. My surgery is on the 29th. I have to do a liquid diet for 2 weeks. The protein powder the doctor has ordered is not the best tasting either. I have just been beefing up on the water intake to make my stomach feel full today. I don't know how to make it through 2 weeks of this. The hard part isn't that we can't live on it, it is that we are still HUNGRY! But it will be worth it. I can't wait to see the pounds come off! Keep me informed. My diet does include broth but that is about it.....It really depends on your surgeon.

So here I sit reading all the wonderful posts. Thank you all from your kindness. I am nervous and hope that I jsut fall into bed tonight. I worked today which helped soo much. Not only kept my mind off the surgery but kept me from thinking about how much I want to eat something. I only hope that passes quick after surgery. My fiancee is quite cute. He told me today was his "last day" of eating poorly too. Is that love or what :>) Of course I am the guinea pig in all this. He is going to eat well and excerise along with me but no band. My honey is a big man so he will lose probably quite abit if he sticks to it- darn men it is just soo not fair. Anyway- my hope is, he'll see how well I am doing that he will want the band. Oh lord if he did and the snoring stopped- I think I just might be in heaven. LOL

Thanks for the reply. So we are surgery sisters huh? I am sooo envious that yours is at 8am. They scheduled me for 2pm! I think they should only do them first thing in the morning. Don't they know how anxious we are to be banded LOL.
I hope you have a very speedy, uneventful surgery and recovery. From what I have read, we should be feeling pretty okay in a few days. Isn't that crazy.
Please keep in touch, it would be really cool to be able to compare notes so to speak. "Try" to get some rest tonight and by this time tommorow you will be long out of surgery.
