I understand. I have been on the liquid diet for 5 days. I don't know how we are supposed to do this for 2 weeks. Are you allowed to have SF pudding? I am and you can mix unflavored protein powder in it. My descovery is that if you make the pudding and let it sit overnight...surprise! it doesn't taste like it has protein powder in it anymore. Anyways...my surgery date is the 29th. I am excited. However, my stomach is still 3 quart size and my allowed foods don't make it stop grumbling. I drink a lot of ice water and chew gum. That is how I have made it this far. Good luck. My prayers will be with you.

Topic: My First Day at My House!!
I am recovering very well from LSG done at Celebration on 10-15-07. I was discharged on 10-16-07 in the PM and stayed with my mom until today. Today Post-op day 4 I drove home and have taken in 70 ounces fluid and about 45 grams protein. So far so good, I am finally not feeling hungry!!

i'm on day nine of liquid diet, so I feel your pain!! Hang in there. You know that Dr. Vereseman is the best.

Hey Kevin! That's great!! 30lbs!!! I need to remember to take my measurements soon.. it is amazing to see the weight fall off. I am anxious to get to the soft food stage.

hello everyone, hope all is well. i am doing very good and losing weight. i have lost 45 lbs. im looking great and feeling great. i havent been able to do enough proteine, but i am doing well. wishing all of you a good experience with your surgeries.

I right with you. I started my liquid diet about three week ago, before I even got a date. I always feel like I'm staving. I try to mimic what would be expected of me once I have the surgery. My Date is the 25th so I feel your pain. Hang in there. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Just talked to Jenniffer, Johns wife and she gave me a phone # to get ahold of john. I can't its been busy all night.
"oh yes, everyone is phoning him. I asked her if the long fight to have surgery was worth it, "oh yes, I'm thrilled he gets a life back>"
John has been trying for 4yrs. the same thing the canadian doctors have not made this a priority.
John is now up and walking around and can't wait to get home.
In the meantime I will try to get ahold of him for a few wordss.

Hi my name is Rebecca and i live in England i had my op on the 25th sept 2007 and i had to do the milk only diet for 7 days i had to drink 4 pints of semi-skimmed milk, two pints of water and 1 salty drink and diet drinks. I know it seems hard but time will fly Good luck you'll do great.
