Just wanted to say all went well and I've been home for a day. I hope all you ladies that went in today have a smooth and uncomplicated surgery and can't wait to see you on the loser's bench!

Hi Kevin, congrats! I had my surgery Oct 11th. I have been eating things like tuna with a few drops of light mayo and a cracker, egg salad (tiny bit of mayo & mustard), mashed potatoes wiith cheese, refried beans, scrambled egg with cheese, hummus and cracker. I just tried the turkey sticks (baby food graduate) and they worked fine and were very satisfying. Good luck with your journey!

Topic: RE: How to start?
My insurance company only covered specific doctors and Centers of Excellence, so I had their list to start with of who they'd cover me for. I took that list to my primary care physician and he went over it with me. Plus, my sister and I both researched all the doctors and chose mine. My insurance had an application process, which I did and my PCP wrote a letter of recommendation and need to them. Then I had to go through a 6-month insurance pre-op thing where they assigned me a case manager to work with throughout the process.
