Wow...I think it's different for everyone.  I am below my doctor's goal for me, which was 180 and I am 172.5, I have lost 166lbs....I have not had my plastics yet, and I am not sure if I have reached my personal goal or not.  I never thought I would lose this much so I never set a goal below my doctor's...I guess I am hoping my body will know when it's happy and I will stop losing.

I feel like a graduate because of where I was 338 and where I am now...I feel that even if I did not lose another pound I have accomplished so many things that I'm a success.  Ok, didn't really answer but gave you my thoughts anyway.

Well, I am glad that I am not alone in this battle. You and I, we are right in there with one another. Have been since the start. I haven't tried any sugar products. I have had products with low sugar content, but no sugary snacks. It is tough isn't it? I sometimes worry about my future. Hoping that I won't go back to those bad habits. I used to wonder how that could happen, know I am understanding. That being said, you are doing awesome, and you look great! Thanks for responding :) Talk again soon.

I feel you on this. I've lost 109lbs and feel great but still want to get this last 28lbs off. I'm barely losing anymore and its aggravating. I'm also a little TOO comfortable with food. I still have to be careful with sugar. Its a weakness and it usually wins.

Hi October 2007 friends :)

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing? I am feeling great, loving how I look physically. But ( of course there is a but) I have not been losing any weight (not more than a few pounds) in a few months. It's like I made it to a year, and stopped. I know it should have slowed down, but not this much. I will take some accountability and say that I have become a little comfortable with food/eating. Not that I am consuming a lot, or things I shouldn't per se, but comfortable. I almost forget that I had RNY!!! So, how are you all doing on the weight loss this far out? Still losing? Any advice? I still want to lose about another 25 pounds at least. I know I can, I just hope I can. Get what I mean? Anyway, hope you are all well.

Is it when you've passed your 1 year surgery date?

Is it when you reach your doctor's goal for you?

Is it when you've reached your own personal goal for yourself?

Is it when you've had your plastics and your body looks the way you want it to?

When are you a weight loss graduate?

We had our surgery on the same date!

I was told by my surgeon I HAVE to get back on a schedule. He said it's for the rest of my life. If I go back to my olf habits, I will go back to my old body. So I am getting back on my schedule.

PM me, we can chat offline.

HI,

Me too. Haven't lost any weight in about 6 weeks. I still have about 25-30 pounds I would like to lose.  I am doing the same with eating as well. I have noticed my eating is not as structured as it was. Not really eating anything I shouldn't, but just not paying such close attention. I am hoping it's a stall. I have also been told b/c I have less to lose, it is harder, and takes more time. That does make sense of course.

It is frusterating b/c I see and read about others at a year out, still losing weight.  Is this it for me? What am I doing wrong? I will be watching this post for answers. Thanks :)

Well all this time I thought my surgery day I weighed 337, but according to my Dr. I was 338...go figure
Surgery Day:  338
Today : 184
Total loss:154 pounds
Beginning BMI: 56.2
Today: 30.6

I have stalled for the last two weeks from being on steriods, but I don't stress about it.  If I did not lose another pound I would still be thrilled with my results.

I pretty much dont have a meal plan anymore. I think I may have to go back to one because I've hit a plateau. All I do now is wait till I am hungry, eat protein first, dont drink with meals, keep taking vitamins, and excersize and I am not really watching carbs or fats. I use fit day now and again just to see what's what.

What are you guys doing?
