I am so glad to hear all the success stories on this board. I seem to read alot of people complaining about not losing and it has me worried.

Hi Amy. I was just looking at different boards and saw your question. I went through the same feeling as you and started freaking out so I asked my doctor why I felt that way. He told me everyones full feeling different and it can take up to a half hour to get that feeling. He also told me that we sometimes mistake a full feeling for hunger pangs. He said we are so used to ignoring our bodies and that we have to learn how to listen and learn what each pain or feeling means. Personally for me I cant do 3 meals a day. I dont feel satisfied. I eat every 2 or 3 hours in smaller portions. It keeps me energized and full throughout the day. I never feel the need to snack or eat bad things because I know I get to have another small meal soon. Tis works great for me. I am now 4.5 months out and weigh 154 for a total loss of 78 lbs. You just need to find what works for you so you can get a nice weight loss pattern going. Good luck and best wishes on your journey!!

Hi Judy!! I try to mix things up...I keep track of what foods sit well with me and the ones that don't....I stay away from. With me I can eat tuna fish, chicken, thin ground sirloin, I even done chicken courdon blue (these are smaller that a ping pong ball). I can eat refried beans really well, but I like to have salsa or red sauce on them so they don't seem so dry. I like to eat salad (no dressing) with very small pieces of chicken on it, boiled egg, cheese, peas, and shredded carrots. Don't fell bad about the Christmas constipation, I had that plus when I ate on Christmas Eve I ended up getting sick on a barbque meatball...I only had one and that was it!! Then on Christmas day...I got sick on Turkey believe it on not!!! So I didn't have a great Christmas on the eating side, but being with my family, that was good!! With your weight loss, I think you doing well....if you look at the people around the same time as us....we are staying right in there with them...Keep up the great work and I hope this has helped you....Good Luck! Amy C.

Sorry for the late posting. Here are my doctor's guidleines: 1st 2 weeks-liquids only and that includes SF Jello and SF popsicles. Next 2 weeks-soft mushy stage. Fat free refried beans, tuna, chicken and 1st week scrambled egg. Second week eggs any way you like. Next stage-healthy foods for life. Don't be in a hurry to try everything you liked before. Introduce one new food at a time. Also know that if it settled once, it might not again. Chew, chew, chew. Always start with protein..I had problems with dehydration because food didn't taste good and I couldn't get in 64 oz of fluid (still can't). My dr. gave me some medication for my nausea, and I perked right up. Protein makes you heal. Stomach is about the size of a walnut or a half a cup depending. She definitely needs a protein drink. EAS AdvantAGE carb conscious can be found in Wal-Mart. I like the chocolate the best.
