Topic: RE: What about these stalls?
Glad to hear I'm not alone on this. Over the last 3 months, I'd stall for a week, lose a size, then take off again. But now I've been the same weight for 1-1/2 weeks and my 14's are still tight (next size down). At my 3 month check-up, I'd lost 80 lbs since my surgery date and the doctor told me to expect it to slow down some, but hey - this isn't slow - this is stopped! I'm going to try to get more fluids in. Been walking at lunch and bowflexing after work, but maybe I need to add some evening treadmill walks.

don't worry, Jennifer. I'm having the exact same thing happen to me. It's Very frustrating, but at least the scale is going down and not up; right?

Are you all having stalls? If so, how long, and what have you found to help? I am finding my stalls are lasting for about 2 weeks at a time, then I'll drop a couple of pounds, gets very frustrating. I try drinking more fluids, upping exercise, but doesn't seem to affect it.

Topic: RE: milk...is it really that bad of a no no?
I had the lapband before and my doctor or nutritionist didn't have any type of problem with me drinking milk. They were all for it. Sorry, don't know why your nut thinks different. Maybe you should ask for specifics. felicia

I just read your profile and saw that you had the lapband. I had RNY, so I guess I don't know what the protocol is about milk if you've been banded. Sorry! I should have looked to see what surgery you had first. Shannon

My surgeon makes me drink three cups a day. I'm having no problems. We need the extra calcium and vitamin D for our bones and it's also a good source of protein. The only reason you shouldn't drink it is if you're lactose intolerant. If you are lactose intolerant, you can get a different kind of milk. Don't worry. Milk is good for you as long as you're not drinking like a gallon a day! LOL
