Topic: RE: Changes
Hmm, what to choose? So many changes lol. I have MUCH more bounce to my step, I WALK everywhere, I love taking walks now where as before I hated it. I hid in my house and made my husband do all the shopping, I do it now with him and we are a young couple again, giggly, happy, its amazing what weight can do to a person. I just had my 6 month surgiversary two days ago, and I feel as though I have graduated. Into a new life. We are all on this new journey in our lives, young and old alike, we are taking the same steps, I think we all know what its like to be noticed again instead of shunned cause we looked different, we all know what its like to laugh and smile again, and have confidence again. Bless us all, we are rockin it!! Good luck all my October Peeps

Topic: RE: Is this you???
I just started thinking about it more a few days ago since I only lost 7 lbs in March. Only - like I ever lost 7 pounds in one month before and kept it off!! My doctor told me at my 3-month checkup to expect it to slow down, but heck - this isn't slow - this is excrutiatingly slow!! It is still progress, but I still have so far to go. Since it's my first major plateau, I'm trying to tell myself it's okay & it will start up again. But I have to admit that the thought of "am I done???" has crossed my mind many times this week.
Topic: RE: End of month#5 - what have you lost?
Not much change from last month - I'm trying not to get discouraged, it will start again! I hope!
My surgery was 10-26-07.
pre-op - 311
surgery day - 289
current - 195
goal - 160
Total lost since 116. Total since surgery 94.
Topic: RE: Monthly Goals - March
Great idea! I need to be held accountable, too, and have been slacking lately.
Exercise - get back on my routine I had set up to walk each day at lunchtime at work, bowflex 3 times a week and treadmill the other 3 days a week (since we meet a group of friends and draw cars for the upcoming NASCAR race on Monday nights and get home late - I'll take that night off from exercising).
Weight - I've been stuck between 198-195 for three weeks so my goal is to start losing again (which may be accomplished by getting my butt back into gear on the exercise goal!). I want to lose at 10 more pounds over the next 3 weeks before my 6-month date of April 26 (I'll see the doctor for my 6-month check-up on May 2 and don't want to weigh the same thing I weighed when I saw him 2 weeks ago about being sick still).
Vitamins - Get my thiamine (B1) levels up. During my illness, was tested on B levels and all were great except B1, which doctor thought was strange since it's in the B complex I take so he thought it would be high along with the others, so not sure what's depleting it. Have to find things to boost it!
That's about it until I can accomplish these goals and make new ones.

Have lots of energy, can do things outside and at work without getting all hot & sweaty and like passing out after walking a block or unloading a cart of equipment for work, fit in some places I couldn't fit in well (turnstiles, seats), don't set off the automatic child safety seat thing on the seatbelt in the backseat anymore! I just generally feel so terrific!! I was sick for 6 weeks and told my mom that even sick, I felt 100% better than I did on a "good" day before I lost all this weight so far.

The way I slowed down this month....you bet I'm scared...LOL. I'm thrilled with what I've lost..and I tell myself if I never loose another pound I'll be happy where I'm at...healthy, strong..but I still want that next 30 pounds!
