dont dont dont drink with your meals. our dr's tells us this for a reason. i know how hard it is at first but it becomes routine. i cant believe it doesnt bother you when you drink with your meals. ive taking a sip once it hurt so bad i wouldnt try it again for anything. just try to do better.

Hey Demetis!
I'm also a Oct. 2007 WLS patient....I was reading your message to Jenny and was wondering if you could send me a copy of the protein train plan? I had my surgery on 10/30/07 and have lost a total of 80lbs. I have also hit the plateau and have only lost 3lbs the whole month of April.....I feel like I have hit a wall and can't lose any weight!!
I do jazzercise about 3-4 times a week and have lost inches but no weight...so if at all possible I would like to try the protein train... I would really appreciate if you could send me a copy.....you can send it to my email address: [email protected]
Thanks so much!!! You look fantastic in your picture!! Keep up the great work!!
Your weight lose friend,

I can't seem to eat unless I have something to drink with it! I feel like I'm defeating the purpose of the surgery!! I have always had to have something to drink while eating even before my surgery. Does anyone have any suggestions? My doctor told me not to drink w/ eating because it makes you hungry quicker. Then my mother in law whom had the surgery 1.5 years ago said "I bet you've already streched out your stomach doing that!" I was mad and scared at the same time!! I thought, I went through all this and now my stomach is probably the size of a watermelon again!!!
I had my surgery on 10/30/07 and I've lost 80lbs. I feel that I'm with the rest of you losers (lol) on the weight lose wagon.....but I have noticed that I have been losing very slow......please give me some feedback on what you think!!
keep up the great work everyone!!!!
Your Friend,
Amy Crump

Hi, how are you?
Sounds like your on the right track(if you leave the ice cream alone)....what I would differently is this: 1) have a real breakfast with some type meat and maybe a fried or boiled egg. 2) replace the yogurt and granola with a protein drink. 3) Drop the crackers all together even though they are baked, just eat the cheese(sliced instead of spread) and the meat and move that to a morning snack instead of lunch. 4) For lunch try something like tuna or a chicken breast on a bed of lettuce or even a turkey burger without the bun(they are delicious). then you can have another protein drink and nuts for a snack. And for dinner you can have your chicken or pork chops with no veggies. That is basically the protein train, I will send it to you on tomorrow. The key is to get as much protein as possible. Since I have been on it, I try to get in 120 g of protein a day and in 4 days I lost 7lbs after being stalled forever. Also I try to get in over 100oz of water a day and jog about 2-3 miles. Like I said I was stalled before but now the weight is starting to drop off like in the beginning so I know that the protein train works if you do it consistently......Take care and let me know if you have any questions.
