Topic: WOW Day!!!!
I'm having some great wow moments today!!
** Today is my official 8-months post-op date!!
** I weighed in at 165 (my surgeon's goal for me pre-tummy tuck)!!! Now they want me to stabilize and maintain until my 1-year appointment near October 26 and we'll talk tummy tuck!!
** I've lost a total of 146 pounds!!! (21 from pre-op diet and 125 from wls.)
** I'm 10 pounds away from my goal of 155 pounds - which will put me at exactly half of the weight I started at (311 lbs).
** I fit in regular size 8 jeans today - not the relaxed fit with the fuller hip & thigh - regular natural fit jeans!!!! For the first time in my whole adult lifetime!!
I'm having an awesome day!!!
Topic: RE: what are you all eatting now?
Very helpful!!! My nut just told me last week to start upping my intake and I have been wondering what kinds of meal items to have. Your typical day looks terrific and very doable for me. My typical day starting this week has been:
breakfast - Activia yogurt with 1 oz. sliced almonds or a scrambled egg on a slice of light whole grain toast
snack - string cheese
lunch - 2-3 oz. meat (chicken, steak, pork) with 1/4 cup steamed veggies or 1/2 cup salad greens
snack - 1/2 cup cottage cheese or a protein drink made with fat-free milk
dinner - same as lunch except the meat is usually halibut, cod or sea bass 2-3 times per week (for some reason can't do fish at lunch time, but works great at dinner time!)

Topic: RE: what are you all eatting now?
Hi,
I am tolerating foods well too. I don't have any sugar and I don't eat anything fried. I handle carbs just fine in small amounts. Sometimes I worry I am consuming too many at times - which probably means I am so I step back when I am going for them, and think where they fit in to my meal plan. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't.
An example of a typical day for me would be:
cup of coffee in the morning
protein shake for breakfast (made with yougurt and fruit)
water
lunch varies -1/2 sandwich and some fruit, or cottage cheese with fruit and walnuts
orange for a snack
more water
supper varies - 30z meat, with veggies or salad
more water
sometimes another piece of fruit for a snack
Hope that helps. It was helpful for me to see what someone else is consuming at this point. I will be interested to see other postings.

Topic: RE: Dry Heaves
Janet,
Thanks so much for your reply. The dry heaves are much better, I wonder if I had something caught! I know that sounds crazy but I have heard it can happen. This started after I ate a very small salad it did have tomatoes and cucumbers in it. No more with all of that stuff!! I sure hope my hair goes back in I feel so self-conscious because it's the top of my head. I have been taking biotin and zinc I have heard that helps also. I never though of the protien drinks, I still have some in the frig. I'm going to try them. I'm like you I liked them. I hope you are doing well.
Take care and again thanks so much.
