Best of luck to you Erin. I know you must be so excited. I go in on the 10th for my pre-op and surgery is on the 15th. I'm excited...but I WILL be nervous and scared as the time draws nearer. It's totally natural. I have so many things to do and organize before then that I hope that keeps my mind busy...and not so

but...we'll see. I'm so happy for you and wish you all the best. I hope your fears and anxieties wont be so bad.

Congratulations Lucy. WooooHooooo Baby. Our lives are changing forever in such an awesome way. There will be hard times I know. For me..this chance at life again is PRICELESS so...it will be worth the ups and downs. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. My surgery is on the 15th of Oct. WIll you PLEASE save a spot on the loser's bench for me? Good luck to you!

Sharon..I can relate on the getting close to a date and having it postponed. I was originally set for surgery on Aug. 13. Then I was told that I didn't have all the required docummentation of my 6 month diet.

I was so disappointed! Now I'm almost done with my pre-op diet and will weigh in on Oct. 1 for the last of 6 visits. My surgery has already been scheduled for Oct. 15...and I'm so happy. I wish you the best with your upcoming surgery and may God Bless!

Topic: Counting the days..........

Hi everyone I am new here. It was recommended to me by a friend who had his surgery about 1 yr ago. I was telling him that I was feeling anxious and scared and he invited me over here so I could have a forum where I could talk about my fears. So far it has been real nice reading about pre-and post op. This is the second time I have had a surgery date. The first time I lost the my insurance and my job about 2 months before the surgery. Now its October 23, 2007. I keep catching myself daydreaming about the way I am going to feel and how I am going to look. I know the operation wont be easy. The hospital is quite far from my home. I have never been an organized person but this time I am organizing everything from paying my bills, means of transportation and hospital care.Also if worse comes to worse I have my Life iNsurance policy on hand. So I hope to share in the future some more......:cool:
