Topic: RE: WOW Day!!!!
Congrats! I know how exciting that can be. I'm jealous of your size 8. I'm a 10-12 and today fit in mediums for the first time since high school.
Way to rock your tool!
Topic: RE: what are you all eatting now?
I can't eat hb patties or marbled steaks because I dump on fats. So I do turkey hb patties and only filet mignon for steaks.
Ground beef is no problem. I eat a lot of Mexican food and salads of every kind. I've replaced the iceberg lettuce with spinach for better nutritional value. My doc doesn't count calories. He says weight loss can occur without ever counting a calorie if we stick with our diets.
Typical day:
Breakfast: Protein bar or shake
Lunch: chicken something or salad. Sometimes a little bit of Blue Bunny SF reduced fat ice cream or Schwan's low carb low sugar
Dinner: Mexican, usually or chicken. I'm experimenting with a lot of new recipes these days and adapting old favorites to fit the new eating style.
We eat a lot of Fiesta Beans, a recipe I got from MSN healthy eating:
1 can FF refried beans
1 can Ranch Style or Pinto beans, drained
1/2 c salsa (I use Pace picante)
1/2 c to a 1c of shredded cheese.
Mix together in pan until smooth. Pour into pan and top with cheese to taste. Bake at 350 till cheese is melted. For a 9x13 pan, double the recipe. My son says this is better than any other beans he's ever tasted.

I was always steady until I hit 6 months. It was always 2-3 lbs a week with no stalls. Now, I lose 2 lbs and then 3 weeks will go by and then I might drop 1-2lbs. Its like im only losing around 4 lbs a month now. Sucky!
Topic: RE: 9 Months! Where are you?
I was pretty worried everything seems to be moving pretty slow these days...no more than a few pounds a month have you been pretty steady all along or are you starting to slow down too?

Well, just maybe, we shouldnt be discouraged. Obviously, if were BOTH at the same range, its normal. That definately gives me hope. I hate that its slowed down so much tho. I guess I just thought we'd keep losing 10 lbs a month forever. LOL
Topic: RE: 9 Months! Where are you?
Today is my 'official' 9 month date. (Yipee) Can't believe how fast it has passed. So, here are my stats: (Andrea, we are walking hand in hand...
Highest: 294
Surgery: 278
Current: 188
Goal: 150
Total loss: 106 / 90
39 pounds to go
As silly as it sounds (but to most of you, I know you understand) I feel a little discouraged as well. I have been stalled for about 3 weeks (ugh) and have been feeling like 'is this it?' I try not to let myself go there too much, and it has been just very recent that I have. Maybe the stall? But regardless, I know I have accomplished a lot and do feel proud and very happy so far. Keep up the good work everyone!
