That's my date too! I'm a little freaked out but I'm really busy trying to get all my work caught up so I can be gone for a couple weeks. It's probably going to be here faster than we know it!!

I have to say that I went to support group the other night.....and we were talking about how the surgeon, the day of your surgery, while you are laying on the O.R. table will come in and ask if you are really sure that you want to go through with this. He says he can stop everything right now. My whole fear is chickening out at that time. So I was talking to them about that and I was told well thats ok if that happens, that you arn't ready yet and thats ok. Honestly it was right then and there that i knew i was going to make it and i was going to be fine! I am in a much better place now because i do know that i am ready. Lol i have lots of stuff to do before surgery as well. I figure that since my surgery is october 10th, that i am going to want to do all of the fall cleaning before get all of the summer stuff away so that i don't have to worry about doing it after when i'm not feeling so well. But i am not sure how fun that is lol. But it will keep me nice and busy! Any way keep in touch

I originally had a November 12 date, but now I got it pushed up to October 15, just a little over a month before my new life begins!
Looking forward to going through this journey and getting to know you all!

It will go quick...I think. I got all my FMLA paperwork last week and that's when it dawned on me that it really was just around the corner. Now today it's only 29 days away...that's awesome!!!

Congrats on the date!!! You are right behind me! Do you have to do a liquid diet?? I am having trouble focusing on this, well because I am trying to stay busy and not think about it so much. I have been very focused up until I got my date and now I have been almost avoiding it. Which is weird. I think maybe its nerves and anticipation that my life will be forever changed! No pressure there, LOL. I am also giving my parents a 50th wedding anniversary party on Sept. 23, so this has been preoccupying my time too, but I am grateful for this. I think I am having a mix of emotions, which I hear is normal!! Congrats on the date again!

LOL, I am not either, I am pretty sure I will have to be at the hospital at 5:30am and I will have to be out the door by 5am, which means I will have to get up by 4-4:15am. Ugh!! But at least it will be done with!! My surgeon has already told me he expects me to have walked at least three times that day, since my surgery is in the early morning! Time is flying by!! God Bless!
