Topic: RE: 9 Months! Where are you?
Wow, I can't believe it's already 9 months (Saturday 10-26 for me)!!
Pre Surgery Diet: 311
Surgery date: 289
Current : 162
Goal: Doc-165, me-155
Total lost: 136 pounds 149
been stuck at 162 for 6 weeks now. Tried more/less food, more/less exercise - same weight every day no matter what. Maybe this is where I'm destined to be. I could live with it and be perfectly happy, so my goal of 7 more pounds doesn't seem that important anymore. Just being this happy and healthy is awesome enough!!
Topic: RE: net or total calories. what do you go by?
My nut didn't want me to count calories until maintenance.
But...I tracked on dailyplate, and the calories were there, so I know what I've been taking in. Now that I'm in maintenance I pay even more attention to it. My theory is that you need to intake so many calories a day, but the reason you exercise is because you're trying to lose weight, right? If you eat the calories that you're exercising, then you're missing out on those benefits. I look at total calories as my intake. I look at the exercise calories just as a pat on the back to see how the work I did is helping me.

Hi everyone! I don't get to the forums often, but glad I did today.
Here are my stats:
Highest: 299.7
Day of Surgery: 272
Today: 151.8
Goal: 145
Total Loss: 149.7
7 pounds to go
I've been gaining and losing the same 3-4 pounds for about four weeks now. I did that last month, too. Sounds like everyone is doing great! Keep up the good work.

9 Months out...I'm at goal and maintaining (within 5 pounds!)
Surgery date: 249
Goal: 149
Current: 146
total loss: 103 pounds.
I did slow way down as I got closer to my goal. I know it's frustrating, but keep at it. Your tool is still working, it just isn't going to be as dramatic as in the beginning.
I think everyone's doing great!

My doctor doesn't count calories. He says if I stick with the food plan, I can do it without counting calories.
Topic: RE: 9 Months! Where are you?
I need to edit to add that at my checkup I'd lost more pounds. Current weight: 190 bringing loss to like..142 pounds!
Topic: RE: 9 Months! Where are you?
I still have a couple weeks till I hit the 9 month mark but....
Surgery date: 337
Current: 206
Goal: 180
131 lost and 26 more to go to goal. Mine has slowed down as well but I have a TON of excess skin and that is the part I think I hate the most right now. I can deal with the slowing down as long as I am losing, but I HATE the skin and can't wait until I'm far enough out for plastics. I could probably wear jeans a size or two smaller at least if I did not have the panis skin.
Topic: net or total calories. what do you go by?
Im a lil confused. Should I go by my total calories or my net calories? I use fitday and I consume around 950-1100 calories a day, but when I put in my exercise for the day, it drops around 500 calories. Im just concerned that Im not getting enough in. I exercise all the time and eat right but Im not losing. Just discouraged.
Topic: RE: 9 Months! Where are you?
I have two more weeks to go before I hit my 9 month surgiversary. So far, so good!
Highest: 280
Surgery Day: 270
Current: 169
Goal: 150
Total Loss: 111
19 lbs to go!
Realistically, I may want to get down to 140 or 135... so I may need to adjust my goal... I'll wait and see how I feel at 150
Topic: RE: 9 Months! Where are you?
OMG, I am so happy to read this post. I was 9 months PO on the 10th and I thought I was the only one that had slowed down. I even feared this was it. I am so happy to see that I am within the same range as most of you as far as my lost.
Here are my stats...
Surgery Date: 248.4
Current: 164
Goal: 145
Total Loss: 84.4
19 lbs to go any additional after this is just icing on the cake
