Monthly Goals - week 3 update

Sorry I didn't start a thread for week 2, but my sister had her baby, and I went to Jersey to visit, and didn't get on the computer at all. And I've been trying to get backinto my zone at home and work, so I haven't had time to get this together until now. So, things haven't gone well since my last post. Aside from going to Jersey, and not wanting to do much but hold the baby, my back went out again. I've been going to the chiropractor for about 4 months (twisted pelvis, which caused a pinch nerve), and things had been going really good, and then right before I left for Jersey, I took a huge step back in the progress. I don't know if it was the exercise I had been doing that aggravated it again, but I can't do anything. I'm in constant pain and can't even do the dreadmill without wanting to cry. Just sitting in my office chair hurts and I keep getting pain down my leg. And if that wasn't bad enough, my scale showed I gain 3lbs this morning. I'm hoping that was a mistake, or that I was retaining water (or even poop!) and I'll go back down tomorrow. Either way, I'm still 15lbs away from the 100lb mark, and now its only 9 days until my 6 month date. I'm contiplating doing the liquid diet for a few days, in the hopes of getting things moving again. I'm going to talk to my chiropractor tomorrow on what I can do to get some excersise in that would be okay on my back, but that will help in weight loss. They gave me some back strengthening excercises, but those aren't going to help lose any weight. I hope everyone else is doing well, and hopefully close to meeting goal, or even there already!

Sorry to hear you're having so much pain with your back! Wow, that doesn't sound fun. Plus it's really messing with your ability to exercise. Have you thought about swimming? I find it's one of the most comforting forms of exercise. You may not want to swim laps or anything, but maybe some mild water aerobics or something like that. The benefit is that it's no impact and almost therapeutic because of the water. Good luck!
