New here!!!!
Hello everyone, I'm new to the October 2007 Surgery date message board but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing their weight loss has slowed down tremendously? I don't think I've lost anything in about 2 months now. I'm going to start the protein train on tomorrow and hope that this will restart my loss. Anyone have any ideas?
Hey Demetis! I can totally relate. I've been hoping to get to 100lbs lost by the end of the month, but in the last two days, after not really moving much this month, my scale actually showed a 3lb gain! How is that even possible!!??
I started a thread this month to try to be accountable to meet my goals (I do better when others know what I'm trying to accomplish) and had been doing good at the beginning of the month, but then I went to visit by sister and her new son, and I twisted my back again, so I've been side tracked on the exercise again.
I've been tempted to go back to a week or so of liquids to see if that would help. I keep thinking that now would be a good time to do it, since I still don't have an appetite and it would be easier than when i do get that back. Are you going to do the 5 day pouch test, or just the liquid diet you were on right after surgery?
If you want a buddy to talk to/get support from during this, let me know, and I'll do it with you. I really want to hit 100 by next Wednesday.
Jenny
Hey Jenny
I would love to be accountability buddies and I know what you can do to get some weight off. I started doing the protein train on April the 8th and stuck with it for about a week and I lost 7 pounds after not seeing the scale move in like 2 months.
I can email you a copy of the requirements for the protein train if you like, I got it from another forum and decided to try it after hearing everyone say how much it works. This is a sample of my daily eating habits while on it.
Breakfast: 1 fried egg and a turkey sausage link 14g protein
midmorning: Protein drink 26g protein
snack: 3 oz deli turkey meat and a slice of lf swiss cheese 12g protein
Lunch: Prepacked tuna lunch 21g protein
snack: beef stick and cheese slice 13g protein
midafternoon: protein drink 26g protein
dinner: grilled chicken breast on a bed of lettuce 30g protein
Along with this I drink about 80oz of crystal light. The goal of the protein train is to get lots and lots of protein which helps GBS patients to lose weight quickly. Trust me this works. Let me know if you want a copy of it....... Also if you don't keep a food diary then you should start it helps me alot with keeping myself accountable.
Please send me the requirments. I've never heard of this one before....
Your meal plan looks like what I'm already eating (except for the two protein drinks), so it doesn't look like it would be much of a change. When i read your original post, I thought you were talking about just doing liquids for a while to get things moving again.
I've tried to keep a diary, but after a few days, I end up forgetting to write in it. I'll start again with this though.

Hey Demetis!
I'm also a Oct. 2007 WLS patient....I was reading your message to Jenny and was wondering if you could send me a copy of the protein train plan? I had my surgery on 10/30/07 and have lost a total of 80lbs. I have also hit the plateau and have only lost 3lbs the whole month of April.....I feel like I have hit a wall and can't lose any weight!!
I do jazzercise about 3-4 times a week and have lost inches but no weight...so if at all possible I would like to try the protein train... I would really appreciate if you could send me a copy.....you can send it to my email address: [email protected]
Thanks so much!!! You look fantastic in your picture!! Keep up the great work!!
Your weight lose friend,

So I need to try something....Anyway, here is my email address: [email protected]
So if you have time to send that I would greatly appreciate it!!
