Monthly Goals - March
Just wondering if anyone wants to start listing what goals they may have for the month, and progress/follow up.
I'm realizing that I need to be held accountable to hit my goals, and I'm thinking if I let everyone know them, I'll have to keep you guys informed on how its going. And maybe someone else has been trying to hit the same goal or already did, and may be able to offer some ideas and support.
I've actually got two goals this month. One for my weight and one for excersice. So here goes - my goals for this month:
Weight - By April 30th (6 month), I want to have lost a total of 100 lbs. Thats a 19lb lose from where I am today.
Excersice - Get on a schedule and stick to it. I keep trying, and will last a few days, but then I come up with excuses as to why I can't do something that day, and then the day after, and so on....
I want to walk every day for at least 1/2 hour (getting ladies at work together during lunch - again accountability), strength training for 45mins 3 days/week, and yoga for 45 minutes 3 days/week.
So anyother 10/07's gonna join in on the fun?!

My goal was to have lost 50% of my excess weight by 4/30 which is roughly 100lbs and to get back on a walking program. I just had hernia surgery last month and that really through me off. I am lucky that I have a treadmill so I want to talk daily for exercise and to build up my ankle (had surgery on it).
Thanks for joining me in this ladies!
I can relate to hating excercise. I used to think that it was because I was so overweight & out of shape, but now that I've lost 80lbs and can move around more easily, I still hate it! Although I don't mind (actually really like) stuff that doesn't make me think I'm excersiing, especially hiking and swimming at the beach. But unfortunately its too cold to start hiking (another month or so here) and I no lonvger live near the beach, so that activity is only done during vacations now.
Okay, that sorta sounds like the beginning of an excuse, especially the hiking thing....So I need to look at things more positively . Like, sticking to my excercise program, will get me in better shape, so that when we do go hiking, it will be easier to make it up those hills!

PS: I changed the title on the thread - this should be for April not March...
Great idea! I need to be held accountable, too, and have been slacking lately.
Exercise - get back on my routine I had set up to walk each day at lunchtime at work, bowflex 3 times a week and treadmill the other 3 days a week (since we meet a group of friends and draw cars for the upcoming NASCAR race on Monday nights and get home late - I'll take that night off from exercising).
Weight - I've been stuck between 198-195 for three weeks so my goal is to start losing again (which may be accomplished by getting my butt back into gear on the exercise goal!). I want to lose at 10 more pounds over the next 3 weeks before my 6-month date of April 26 (I'll see the doctor for my 6-month check-up on May 2 and don't want to weigh the same thing I weighed when I saw him 2 weeks ago about being sick still).
Vitamins - Get my thiamine (B1) levels up. During my illness, was tested on B levels and all were great except B1, which doctor thought was strange since it's in the B complex I take so he thought it would be high along with the others, so not sure what's depleting it. Have to find things to boost it!
That's about it until I can accomplish these goals and make new ones.
