Stall and the scale?
Okay so I had my surgery on Oct 23, 07
and I have hit a major Stall 2 weeks and put a few pound on
I am weighing in at 315.4
I started this journey at 400.5 pre-op
Surgery was 363.0 so 37 pound loss before surgery
now I am 315 so I am down only 48 pounds since oct 23, 07
Qwestion and i know you here this all the time but IS THIS NORMAL?
I kinda feel binded not sure what to take for that, (THE WHEAT BRAN IS NOT WORKING)
Kinda also feel like I am retaining water, I have been on m period for about 10 days which is not abnormal for me but I keep telling my self the weight will strt droping off again, but when?
I try to stay a very possitive person but can you help with any of this? Thanks so much Kristy
PS Happy New Year
Pss I bought a new scale thinking the other might have some issues but it was just meaner it said I was 2 pounds heavier then my other!
Kristy, weigh yourself the same time every day. In the afternoon, you show 5 pounds heavier. The water retention could be the culprit for the pounds. Since you're on your period (mine are gone forever!) that could explain those pounds.
Expect to stall occasionally on your journey. I hit a plateau and didn't lose for 2 weeks, then I weighed the next time and had dropped 5 pounds. It all depends on your body's chemistry.
Remember, this too shall pass, and you've given yourself the gift of health. I only weigh at the doc's office so it's the same all the time.
Good luck!
Kristy, put the scale away for a few weeks. stalls are normal, your body is trying to catch up with what is going on, you are more the likley losing inches, as long as you are staying on the right track with your eatting, and drinking you water and protien , the scale will move again, just give it some time,
take care,
Janet
First let me say that you have lost 48lbs in about 10 weeks....that is AMAZING!!!! Personally I do not weigh daily, the ups and downs would drive me nuts. I weigh once a week, at the same time every day....in the morning after I shower and blow dry my hair...in my birthday suit so there is never a question of are my clothes heavier or not. It also depends on my cycle as to how much I weigh.
Also, another thing I do is weigh right before I go to the doctor and then of course when I get there I am weighed and everytime there is a 2lb difference, my scale is more lol, but I know it's different to so I don't freak.
Stop stressing, up your water and protien...exercise...and let your surgery work for you. Remember we all have stalls.
I had my surgery on oct.30th ..i was 298 and am now 245 so down 53 pounds..i think your doing great..i was also concerned that i wasnt loosing enough and i asked my doc. at my last fill and he said im doing great and that the normal is anywhere from 5-10 pounds a month.. anyways keep up the good work .
