How much have you lost
Don't worry about the scales seeming to stop they will do that just keep doing what you are doing and the weight will come off. My surgery was in January 2006 and I have lost 141 lbs. so far I still want to loose about 15 to 20 lbs. more. I was at 280 when I started I am at 139 now so the surgery does work!!! I know it seems slow but this IS the best way to loose the weight. I was in a size 24 to start with and now I am in a size 8, I can't believe it myself. I still have a hard time seeing the new me when I look in the mirror all I still see is the 280 lb. version of me. Keep up the good work!!
I had gastric bypass on 10/23/07 I have lost including during pre-op 35 lbs. I have done downa bout one size maybe two, still just wearing baggy pants 4 now. I have not lost since my post-op dr. visit and have been at a stand still since 11/9/07. Can anyone explain dif between RNY and gastric bypass because Im seeing alot ot RNY.
I had Lap RNY on 10/1 - lost 16 lbs pre-op and 28 lbs post-op. They just found out that I have an ulcer, which was making me nauseated. Surgeon & NUT think the weight loss will speed up when I can finally eat enough (just barely getting in my protein & fluid), but we're investigating hypothyroid as well because I have some other issues. Sure, I'd love some more dramatic loss, but I'm just happy that I've gone from size 24 to size 22 and even those are getting loose. And YAY I have less than 100 lbs left to lose -- still a lot but it's a milepost.
