RNY on 10/05/07 with
I had open RNY on October 5 and I have lost 32 lbs post op (lost about 20 pre op). I am very nervous because it seems I have almost stopped losing over the past 2 weeks. Has anyone else had this problem? I am eating very healthy, drinking my water, but the scale seems to have ground to a halt. Anyone have any words of advice for me? Laurie

Hi Kerry! I had lap Fobi Pouch on 10/18. Some kidney issues in the hospital saw me gaining 51 lbs of water weight postop. It took two weeks to get off the water weight and I have 'officially' lost 12 lbs from my surgery date. As long as I have a number in the minus side, it's all good.

I had Ryn 10/31/07 and have lost 13lbs start weight @ 235lbs im three weeks out and started to eat soft foods I eat alot of refired beans fat free and egg beaters scrambled eggs with a small flour tortilla (Burrito) takes me about 30 mins to eat. I have yougart and oatmeal and soups, apple sauce. I dont think its a great weight loss so far It seems like alot of you all are losing at a much faster rate. Tina Love

Tina, I wouldn't worry about how much or little, everyone is different and lose at different rates. As long as you are doing well and are on the losing side then be happy!
