Questions about Vertical Sleeve

I had the Vertical Sleeve on October 24 and I still don't feel all that great. I had to have an open operation and I was wondering if anyone else has had the surgery and felt the same way. I don't throw up but I do. I can't seem to get enough to drink and I don't get hungery. How long does this last? It seems like I have been going through this forever.

hi julie, i had mine vls on 10/31/07. i too, don't feel well yet. the thirst is getting better. i do drink alot, maybe no****er. i too, not hungry and am fine with just a little of something. i have lost 13 lbs. and i am excited but i wi**** was more. i had to have hernia repair done with my surgery and that set me back some. i try to eat, and then i get sick and throw up a little. i hope you feel better soon, julie. hugs, cougar

It's been almost 6 weeks and I feel great. I have lost 30 pounds, but i have stop losing for now. I also had to have a hernia repair. I do think that it makes it harder to recover. In fact I went back to work last week. I work in an office but I felt good enough to go back. I don't get as sick anymore, only when I eat to much. I have only done that twice. I don't drink a lot of water, but I have been able to keep myself hydrated. I hope things go good for you. The first week I lost 17 pounds and was excited. I go to the gym now everyday and walk on the treadmill for about an hour. Keep me posted on how your doing. Julie
