Lap Band to a Bypass

My band has slipped and I am gaining weight as most of the saline had to be removed. If I decide to have them go back in, I am considering the bypass instead a having them reposition the band. This time it would have to be out of pocket as my employer does not cover WLS at all now. What are your opinions?

wow,,that's a hard place to be in esp with the ins not covering WLS anymore have u tried just measureing your portions an ton's of water ? I have the band and myself am looking at a revision,,we hope to get the sleeve approved,,if not I will be getting the bypass Good luck i whatever you decide to do

I am sorry to read that you have such a hard time with the band. I was just at my doc yesterday wondering which procedure to go with and I finally desided RY. Keep us posted. Mindy
