How do you know?

This might seem as a dumb ? to some but how do you know which surgery you are going to have. My seminar is next month. I first thought I was going to have the lap band but someone said that since my BMI is over 50 that my surgeon will not give me the lap band. Do they tell you when you see the doc or at the seminar?

It's just your choice. I was going to do the lap band originally but then decided on the RNY. It's just a personal choice. I would do lots of research on both then decide which is best for you. You can always talk with the surgeon to find out which they suggest for you. The lap band of course is less evasive.
