hi im kevin reynolds and im from clarkston washington and i was just informed 2 weeks ago that i am scheduled to have surgery on the 2nd of october if there is anyone out there that can help me prepare for pre op and post op that would be awesome!!

Hey Kevin, I am awesome, and after October 22, I will be even better! I am getting the gastric bypass, that is the only option with my insurance. I am from East Texas, 20 minutes south east of Dallas. Blessings, Angel

hi angel! thanks for getting back to me, i am also getting the gastric bypass as well i totally agree after sugery it will be great! is your doctor having you do 2 weeks of liquid diet before surgery or just to loose as much wieght as possible b4? my doctor just has me on carnation instant breakfast 2xs a day then a small dinner so and also i have to try to mimic the 6 meals a day that they recomend so anyhoo hope to hear from you soon talk to you later and remember you are awesome!!! kevin

Hey Kevin, I have to do a protien liquid diet (absolutely no carbs) 7 days prior to surgery. I have already lost like 42 pounds! But I have been working all year! Sounds like you are doing awesome! Blessings, Angel

hey angel hows it going im good kinda upset a lil bit i went to weigh in today and it said i gained a couple ounces i know that isnt signifigant but it stinks but i guess i cant get down on my self it has only been a week since i saw the dietician and i have been doing everything they told me to, so anyhoo sorry for the rants just had to talk to someone other than family well anyway i will talk to yuo soon and remeber you are awesome! kevin

Hey Kev, Don't get down on yourself. I don't know about you but it took me 10 years to get here, it's not going to change overnight! I decided to read your profile to learn more about you.......you have not filled it out! Get busy there Buddy! We can be more of a support if we know the entire story. Hi Kevin. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I'm on the 15th and I understand your excitement. I'm having RNY though...don't know too much about the lapband. My best advice is to keep reading the boards. I have been here reading for a while now..and been doing research for a long time. It has meant so much to me. Just hearing real people just like me who have been there and done that. OH has been a wonderful resource for me. Best of luck to you with everything! ~Joy
