Topic: RE: Can you say over stuffed pig?
I did great for the meal portion. After dinner I was watching everyone else snack and started to eat some cheese and crackers. I did ok, but I'm not used to eating between meals anymore. It made me feel like crap.
I was able to keep my calories for the day at 1300, only 100 more than a normal day for me. I'm happy to say that the scale read the same this morning as it did yesterday. Phew!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Hi Donna! Your meal sounds wonderful, and it's only once a year, right?
I actually did well with my eating, surprisingly. I had two Thanksgiving parties to attend - the first one with my family and the second with some dear friends. I was able to eat/taste everything that looked good to me, and still stop before I was stuffed. I don't always have that kind of control, but yesterday was a good day!
Looking forward to reading about everyone else's Thanksgivings too.

Oh my GOD!! did I over do it yesterday. What with the turkey, the green beans, the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the cranberry sauce, etc . . . .
You all get the picture, but the food was so good. We had our turkey at lunch time, 12:00 because I had to be at work and clock in at 2:40. If I must say so myself everything turned out delish, but I really over did it. I was filled to the gills, literally, i ate so much I felt misrable, stomach and esopagus pain, cramping, and breaking out in a cold sweat. But would I do it again? Hell yes, in a heart beat, how many times do we get to eat this type of food, not to often in my house.
How was everyone elses food intake? did you all overdo it?

Hey tabby,
glad to see you had a great turkey day and that the plastics went well. You know the swelling is going to take time to go down. Glad to see you came through it fine.

Hi ALL!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure did. I probably over-did it. I am still really sore from my PS and have 2 drains left in, so I should have sat with my feet up more than I did. I have a good bit of swelling going on in both legs, my right more than my left. It was swollen pretty good last night. OUCH!!! I'm relaxing all day today in hopes for undoing the damage done yesterday. We went to my parents house for lunch and Dave's parents house for dinner. It was great getting together with everyone. My sister came from Columbus, OH and my Aunts came in from Los Angeles, CA. They got my grandmother out of the home and she got to have lunch with us. It was nice.
I hope everyone else had as good of a time as we did. HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY!!!
Hugs,
Tabby

Hey susan,
how are you enjoying virgina? All settled in yet? Hope so.
Have a great gobble gobble day, both you and your family.
I'm cooking my turkey as we speak, I'm working 3-11 tomorrow, so I'm getting it ready now so we won't be rushed tomorrow.
Have a wonderful day in your new house and state.
Talk to you soon
