Topic: RE: PIZZA?
I eat like a normal person. A normal serving of pizza is approximately the size of your hand.
Enjoy a NORMAL serving of pizza.
Focus on the meeting and not on the lunch.

Good to "see" you, Lisa. Congrats on the weight loss and on being "normal". Doesn't it feel great???? Hee Hee. I just hit the "normal" range yesterday according to my scale and I didn't feel any different than I did the week before, nor did anyone treat me different. LOL.
Sorry to hear about your tooth infection. Hope you are feeling better in no time. Hang in there.
Best wishes on your son coming home soon. I bet you will find stuff to do that first week. Sounds like he has really turned a corner. Hope he doesn't take you for granted in the future. Can't wait to hear how the reunion goes. Keep us posted.
Nice to hear from you.

Topic: RE: PIZZA?
I have had pizza a few times since my WLS. There is a local joint that hubby LOVES their pizza...I have had a craving or two for it since my surgery and I didn't used to like it much. We get it and get the taste of it and then don't have it again for a couple of months. We just had it on Saturday. I had two 3X3 slices and was COMPLETELY satisfied. I don't eat 5-7 slices of it, like I used to. I may tell him to order me 4 slices to have 2 one night and 2 the following night to get it out of my mind. I agree with Felicia that we are living, not dieting. Do what you are comfortable with. One or two slices of pizza is not going to undo all that you have done in the past year. Enjoy the lunch.

Topic: RE: PIZZA?
We used to eat Pizza probably 3 times a week ( I didnt get my OMG figure from eating carrots HAHAHA). Oh and not just a couple slices. More like a couple WHOLE pizzas!! Since surgery we eat it maybe once every couple months. (It was amazing now much I was dictating our foods *sigh*). Anyways I can eat 1 peice like 3 inches across at the widest part. Have not had a problem with it nor do I crave it. I say eat it! Many will say "just eat the toppings" but A C K thats not pizza lol. Small bites. Chew completely and breath in between bites and you should be just fine. If you are totally freaked about eating it then of course just go for the toppings but for me I would rather have 1 or 2 bites of the whole thing then a whole slice of toppings ( my opinion of course). My 2 cents on cravings are that cravings are in our head. If we don't entertain the thought of the craving then it has no power. Remember we are not dieting we are living! It cant control you unless you allow it to control you. Look how far you have come and what you have done. There is no way you are going to now let a piece of pizza control you. Eat it. Enjoy it. Move on!
Enjoy your lunch meeting!!

You guys eat pizza? How much in one sitting? Have any problems with it?
Anyone who used to eat pizza A LOT have any cravings or other issues since re-introducing it?
They're having it at a lunch meeting here on Thursday and I'm trying to decide whether or not I will eat any.

Hi Donna,
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! I did well....we didn't eat until 5.....but I had a small spoonful of everything that I like and even had a small piece of pie.....I stopped eating as soon as I felt full -- which I am very proud of!!!! Before surgery I could have eaten and eaten and eaten!!!!!
Hugs,
Holly
