"Scrubs" has long been one of my favorite shows and let me say right off that I am NOT a political correctness cop at all. But last night's episode featured a series of silly contests between Turk and Cox, one of which was testing who could hold out the longest staying in a room with an obese man with a smelly fungal infection under his rolls of fat. I found that level of disrespect appalling. I am writing to the network (NBC) about it and want to suggest that as many people as possible do the same. Lisa

Hey tara, just came on board after about a week away from the computer. As far as my two cents to your question, I really think it depends on the individual and their metabolism. For my self, I'm still losing, haven't gotten to my personal goal yet, still have 21 pounds to go. I had a visit to my ob/gyn today (thirlls a minute) and I've lost another 3 pounds since last week. My goal is 150. I've lost 142# so far and feel fantastic. But still want to lose more although the people I work with tell me I've lost enough. As far as still losing? We have a patient at work that had the same surgery as I did and most of us, RNY. She had the surgery 5 years ago and she's still losing a pound or two every few months. She started out at 320# and is now down to 170, which makes me feel fantastic because I started out at 313 and am down to 171 in only a year. Tiff, I know that my mouth sometimes tastes like metal. I think it is because of the vitamins that we take. I'm not really sure. That is strange that your tongue is numb. Wish I could be of more help. Jenn

Hi Ladies, Hope everyone is doing well.. I was wondering if anyone has had a wierd taste in your mouth before? It is strange. Like every few days I get this taste in my mouth like metal or something and it lasts 2 days then goes away.. then comes back.. My breath doesnt smell bad, (I asked my son.. lol) My teeth are fine.. It is almost like my tongue is numb when it happens.. and my teeth feel wierd. Very odd huh? I tired to look it up but couldnt find anything. I was thinking maybe lacking some vit or something.. Does anyone have an idea? If it continues I will make an appointment with my Doc.. But just to ease my mind right now, any suggestions or experience info would help.. Thanks guys!! Hugs and Luv!!
