Topic: OCTOBER "re-birth-day" Exchange??
I know its early but I would like to see what type of participation we are going to have in this exchange. Remember this exchange is O N L Y for the month of OCTOBER!! Please post a reply here if you are interested or click contact and PM me if you are interested.
I personally can not wait for this exchange. Its going to be a very special one since we will all be ONE year old together lol.
Anyways it would be a huge favor if you would let me know. I am working on something special for it and the sooner I have a general idea of how many will be joining in for this one exchange the more it will help me out.
Thanks much for your time!!

Side note: I am still waiting on 4 people/cards from the August card exchange. Please let me know if your cards are late so I don't mistakenly remove you from the September exchange ok!! Thanks much!!
Topic: RE: 10 month checkup
Congrats on the great appt, Holly!!! I'm so happy that you are doing so well and still losing. Isn't this surgery great??? I know what you mean about having to buy all new clothes for next summer. I was hoping to have some of my capri's from Spring fit in the Fall, but that is not the case. I did get a pair of size 8 Levi jean shorts on clearance for next summer, so I atleast will have ONE thing to wear. Some of my shirts should still fit me, too. Especially if I opt for implants, I should fit pretty good into my tops that are snug on my belly right now. Most of my tops are a size Large, so they should fit good with bigger boobies and no stomach rolls next summer. Hee Hee.
Hopefully we will be able to meet up around the time of our one year surgiversary. I doubt I can travel anywhere for a board meeting with my ps coming in November. No $$$ for travel right now.
Good luck meeting your goal for your 1 yr followup.
Hugs,
Tabby

Hello There Nice Person
Did Anyone Ever Tell You,
Just How Special You Are
The Light that You Emit
Might even Light a Star
Did Anyone Ever Tell You
How Important You Make Others Feel
Somebody out here is Smiling
About Love that is so Real
Did Anyone Ever Tell You that
Many Times When They were Sad
Your E-mail made Them Smile a bit
In Fact It made Them Glad
For the Time You Spend Sending Things
And Sharing whatever You Find
There are No Words to Thank You
But Somebody, Thinks You're Fine
Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Just How Much They Like You
Well, My Dearest Friend
Today I am Telling You
I believe that without a
friend you are missing out on a lot!!!
Have a nice day, and I'm glad we are friends!!!
Topic: RE: The "dreaded" iron infustion
Dear Tara:
The biggest symptom I have is being tired. Right after surgery, I felt great, TONS of energy. By 6-7 months, I started being tired again, almost the same as before surgery. I sometimes need a 15-20 minute nap at lunch time and feel ready for bed by 8:30 pm. I also have (killer) headaches which may or may not be related.
My doctor says that I was not yet actually anemic, but the levels were dropping (from just below normal) and the oral supplementation was not helping. He also said that it could take a month or so for me to feel an energy boost.
Some of the listed symptoms or iron deficiency anemia are:
Pale skin color, extreme fatigue, irritability, pale skin, dizziness, weakness, shortness of breath, sore tongue, lightheadedness, and often cold hands and feet, brittle nails, decreased appetite (especially in children), headache - frontal. One other thing is "pica" or unusual cravings for non-nutritive substances, such as ice, dirt or pure starch. Some people with iron deficiency anemia experience restless legs syndrome -- an uncomfortable tingling or crawling feeling in your legs that's generally relieved by moving them.
Call your surgeon or PCP and have them check your iron, ferretin, CBC and hemocrit.
Hope this helps,
Dawn

Hey Holly,
We are only one day apart. My surgery was on the 19th. Sounds like you are doing very well. I am five pounds from my goal of 150. I would love to sit between 145 and 150 but if I never lose/gain another once (at 150) I will be a very happy camper.
Congrat's on your seccessful appoinmtent.
Tara

Dear Susan
Have a safe and successful move. I pray that all goes well for you and your family. I know that this is a stressful time but try to remember to have some fun as this will be a family memory forever.
