Topic: RE: Is Anyone Still Trying To Lose?
I have 4 lbs to go to my original goal; I've lost 156. I feel pretty good where I'm at - last jeans I bought were a size 8. I don;'t know how much more I actually could go down without plastics. When I reach my goal, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and if I lose more, great. If I just continue to shape up and get healthier, also great.

Christi,
You are doing so great! Congratulations to you for staying the course and keeping track of what you eat and exercising to boot!
I think we definately need a challenge to keep us in the losing mode.

No you are definately not alone. I still would like to lose approx. 15 more pounds to get to my new goal. I am only 5'1'' and I am still at the high end for my weight compared to my height. I think we do need a challenge. It seems so hard anymore to lose a pound. I am tracking what I eat and exercising almost everyday. I only eat between 900-1100 calories per day and mostly protein and veggies.
Topic: RE: Where has time gone...Plastic's question
Hello, Susan. Good to "see" you here. I had PS in November. I had a breast lift (no implants), an extended TT (with the anchor cut) and an extended thigh lift (running a little over half way down my thighs). I had some problems with the thigh lift and had to have an additional surgery in Dec. to remove a large baseball sized hematoma. Since my surgeries, I have also had the pleasure of my body spitting out several "disolvable" (my a$$) stitches. I am FINALLY feeling good. The breast lift was NOTHING compared to the thighs. The TT wasn't much to complain about either after the first week. I LOVE my new boobies. I wish I had gotten implants, but I keep reminding myself that I look natural and that since it is ALL ME I won't have to worry about issues with them down the road. I am a B-cup, but look nice in a push-up bra. I can wear a medium top and not worry about buying a larger size to fit my big boobs, like my sister has to do. I thought I would feel so much better in a bathing suit after the PS, but I still don't like the way I look in a bathing suit...go figure. I still have extra skin under my arms and my lovely bat wings. I need a revision on my thighs, so I will probably STILL end up buying a skirted suit. I need to hit the treadmill and the weight machine to see what else I can do to tone up before I hit the beach. I found my surgeon on OH and am very pleased with the one I chose. I met with him and he said that I had to be 1 year out from my WLS and maintain for over 3 mos, which I did. I just couldn't imagine dealing with the sagging skin and body issues for another year or two. I am glad I had it done when I did. Keep us posted. Good luck.
Hugs

Topic: Where has time gone...Plastic's question
Well it's been a long time since I've been on obesity help and on the Oct board. I was wondering if anyone has had any plastics done and would you do it again and what did you have done. I've had a TT but am left with absolutly no chest. I seem to struggle now with how my body looks and want so bad to have some work done but not sure if or where to start. I spoke with someone at my support group meeting last night who told me to wait a few years because the skin with get better. I feel I have gone through all this and still don't feel comfortable wearing a bathing suit...They don't make them with enough padding in the chest area unless I want to wear a bikini and that aint happening...
Any words of wisdom.....
I have vowed to get back on task and be more active again.

Michelle!
I was looking at your recent pictures and you look fabulous!! Way to go! I'm so happy that you are still able to lose generous amounts this far out.
Like I said above, we need to make our goal weights what we are comfortable with and also take into account where we came from weight wise. I know that because I weighed much more than most here, I will never see the lower weights. I'm learning to be ok with that.
Keep up the good fight. You are inspiring to us all!

Hey Donna!
You are doing so well! Congratulations! Did you ever think you would be a size 18 again? I'm fluctuating between a 14 and 16 (coming from a 36W pant). I think your goal weight should be what you feel comfortable with, not what someone else says. My original goal for myself was 180 (I'm 5'6" and weigh 196 right now), which I never thought I would see. After my one year check up, I decided to change it to 165. The PA told me that based on how well my last 6 months had gone, that I should easily be able to get to that weight. She told me that the average weight loss in the second year is only 12-24 pounds but I could do 40-45. I hope she's right.
I wonder if we are all hitting that point of non motivation right now? It's so hard to keep away from those old habits. I did some hard thinking yesterday and decided that I'd come too far to quit now so I joined Curves. I plan on walking on the days that I don't go there. Since I've tried everything else, I know that the only way I'm going to get these last pounds off is to exercise.
Good luck to you on your continuing weight loss quest!

Hi there!
I totally understand about good days and bad days. How in the heck can we gain 4 pounds overnight when we eat the same things we have been eating for months?
I finally found some motivation (God knows where it came from) to exercise. I joined Curves yesterday with my mom so hopefully I'll be able to firm up some of this skin.
I would love to start a small challenge with you. We do still have time to get this weight off and I'd hate to miss my goals when I'm this close. We should do it!

Hi Dawn!
Wow! You really have tried everything, LOL! I know exactly what you mean about trying to become "unstuck".
Congratulations on making the scale move!! That is quite an accomplishment! The new eating plan sounds really interesting. I'd love to see a copy of it.
I still use FitDay but the computer version. It works great for me and I'm almost addicted to making sure I document my intake. I know it's the only way I will ever keep the weight off and I will have to do it for the rest of my life.
Congratulations again on your recent loss!
