Topic: RE: Anyone Working out?
Thanks Felicia, My energy level is good, but not great. Yes, I do a lot of stuff, but that's not saying I don't collapse the minute I finally get through the door at night. If I were to work out in the morning, I would be like you I think...in need of a nap for the rest of the day. As it is, my workout is usually the last thing before I go home for the evening, so when I get through that door, I'm done. Some nights, I'm so tired that the DH has to warm up dinner for me (which I wisely cooked and put in the frige the night before). The spinning class, at first was great. The evening instructors at my Y are mostly "part-timers", working mothers, or singles with full-time jobs that picked up teaching at the Y as a way for teh free membership. I have to admit, that this session, I was officially in better shape than my instructor (who, as a side note is now 4 weeks out from WLS herself). Most of the time we were 1 on 1 in the class..she didn't even get on the bike but would stand there and talk to me about WLS and ask advice while I pedaled away (and she was the one getting paid for it). Married life is great. We are still getting through the major adjustments and figuring out our "roles" as far as household duties go. I had to have a chat with him about my need for "me time" on occasion, and he's been good about giving me space from time to time. We're looking forward to the future, which is a great feeling. Keep up the good work youself Felicia. I know with your son, and homeschooling, and trying to get to the gym every day - you're life must be SOOO hectic, I admire you!

Summer kills me. I just cant take the heat and I used to heavily this year to get out of working out. We have finally been having cooler weather and its like brought about such a huge change in my attitude. Its hard to get into a routine though. I do find that I spend the time before going to the gym talking myself out of talking myself out of going HAHAHAHA. I do like it when I am there though and am proud of myself for going when I am done. I hope one day to "want it" as much as I "need it" lolol. Congrats on getting back to Curves!! YOU GO GIRL! *huggles* Felicia =0)

Motivation is ugly isn't it. lol I ran out of excuses as soon as they said they provided day care LOLOL. I had been using Joshua as my reason why I couldn't get out there and join a gym because what do I do with him and I didn't want to have to get up early or go late to make it there. WHINE excuse WHINE! lol Now I don't have an excuse anymore *sigh* so I guess I gotta go lolol. Joshua has been loving it. He gets out of the house and then when I am done we go for a walk. So its worked out in many ways. *hugs* Hang in there. When its your time to be ready to focus on working out you will! It just kind of has to HIT you I think LOLOL. Felicia =0)

Topic: Food Diversions...
Allison posed a great question a few posts down...she mentioned feeling hungry all the time and asked if there was anything she could do to divert her attention away from food. I am really struggling with this as well right now. The other day I was shocked by the end of the day at how much I had "put away" snacking. Yes..they were "healthier choices" (mostly)....but still not necessary. It would be great to see what techniques people are using. My pittfalls: 1. snaking from boredom...especially at my desk at work. 2. having snack on hand...if it is near my desk - when the boredom hits...it's too easy to just grab a handful of whatever...then 20-30 minutes later...bam, I'm grabbing another handful. (it's HORRIBLE) 3. Having allowed small portions of sugar back into my life. (grrrr) 4. Slacking on protein 5. re-developing a taste for coffee = I drink less water.... I could go on...how about everyone else? Any great "do this instead of snacking when you are bored" suggestions? We could all stand to hear them I bet!

Omgosh I hope so cuz right now I am struggling. I am tired. My body is pissy at me and UGGG I HATE BEING SO WEAK!!! You are so inspiring!!! I wanna be just like you when I grow up *grin* Ok so I want your energy at least. I am hoping thats what I am headed for. I am tired of being tired for the sake of being tired. Its so funny about the 5K. I used to watch those on TV and think ( are they nuts ) and now I was just telling hubby the other day that next spring I want to start doing the walks for this and walks for that. I am not a runner. Just not my thing ( wasnt when I was thin either lol ) but I do like to walk and think it would be a great way to get out there, meet people and wiggle my jiggle a bit. Keep posting about your work outs!! Its inspiring!!! *huggles* Felicia =0)

Topic: RE: Anyone still in the Weight Loss Phase?
I hear you about the scale. It will be my daily friend/enemy for the rest of my life. I cant help but wonder if I had had a scale on the way up if I would have ever gotten as big as I did. All I now is that I will never get that big again and weighing daily will be one of the ways I remind myself of where I have been, where I want to go and once there that I want to stay. I want to hear what you have to say. I think everyone has something to say that is important because they took the time to say it. Doesn't really matter if its a major contribution post or an "atta girl" simple reply. What you have to say does matter no matter how much or little it is. Where do you think I glean my "pearls of wisdom" lol its from inspiration I get from everyone here. I don't know about having the ability to "say the right thing" but I do have the ability to chatter on and on lolol. I guess I just say whats on my mind and whats the truth about what I am going through and well leave it up to hope that there will be one person at least out there that understands.... You never know what you might say that changes a persons day =0) *HUGS* Thank you for posting!! Felicia =0)

Topic: RE: I was supposed to ride a roller coaster this past weekend...
I am so sorry Tabby! I would have been terribly dissapointed. Hopefully you will discover some free weekend before the end of season where you can get your rollercoaster ride. The rain was horribe here as well on Sunday. My husband and I were asked to help teach a workshop for the county parks and recreation department. We were hoping folks would stay away because of the weather...but they didn't. We ended up spending 3 hours traipsing around deep in the woods in the pouring rain teaching people how to use GPS technology. We were SOAKED. I've not been able to get completely warm since.
