I've lost (on my best day!) 128 lbs. (309 lbs to 182 lbs) but my weight has fluctuated between 182 and 188 for 6 months! I wear a size L or XL blouse and 14 pants which seems much larger compared to others who have posted. I guess it just depends on the type of clothing, body type and clothing manufacturer. My shoe seize went from 11W to 9 1/2 N which I find most amusing. I also have wrinkly heels. I wonder if I can get a heel lift when I get a body life? As others have said, everything is easier. I love walking up steps - and I choose to take the steps rather than the elevator when there's an option - and not being out of breath! Even though I have more to lose (my goal is 150) my self-confidence is sooo much higher and I'm rarely self-conscious. I generally eat what I'm supposed to, but I'm finding myself getting back into old habits. Exercise has always been a challenge but I'm getting back on track with exercise and food because I'm *terrified* of gaining the weight back and being one of those "failures" we all hear about! Surgery was the best thing I ever did and I'm grateful every day that it was an option for me! My goal is to lose the remaining weight by July 28 (my birthday) and have plastics soon thereafter.

Wow, its been 18 months. seems just like yesterday! 5'9? you are tall. Love it!! and a size 9?? watch out now.. That is awesome! I have lost 118 pounds.. I weigh 136 i am 5'5. I wear all different sizes. I have been super tired latley.. Not so much energy like I had a few months ago. I havent gotten sick this year yet (knock on wood) so maybe I am coming down with something? Who knows.. I started dating this guy named Robert. He is sooo nice to me... Tells me I am HOT all day long.. Love it!! He is actually an old friend of my brothers. He was 18 and I was only 14 but I totally liked him back in the day. He googled my name and found my profile here.. So he created a profile just to email me. How sweet huh? His Mom and sister has had the surgery so totally knows all about it.. Seems almost to perfect.. I still have a hard time eating alot of things.. No red meat unless I take tiny tiny nibbles, and only a few. Alot of things still get stuck but not like they use to.. No mil**** cream not even sugar free.. but I know pretty much what I can and cant have so I usually dont have any issues.. I hope everyone gets a chance to update. i would love to hear where everyone is.. Tabby came on line the today to say hi on yahoo and I only had like 5 min to chat. I felt bad.. I will email her soon. sorry to here about the CFS you might have. Hopefully you will start feeling better soon.. PS next for me.. I am building a case with my Doc in hopes my ins will help pay for it.. Hugs and Luvs!!! Tiff

Hard to believe that it has been 18 months! Perhaps we can all give a little update about our progress at this stage. I am pretty close to what I want to weigh. My BMI is 23 or so (155 pounds), and I wear a size medium in most tops, and a size 10 in most pants. I am 5'9", so I am quite pleased with all of that. My energy level did NOT spike like many of yours - I think that there really is something to this chronic/acute fatigue syndrome that the docs think I have. I DON"T think it was caused by my WLS, but by my respiratory infection or flu in December of 06. I am slowly coming back. Everything is easier now - flying, seat belts in cars, walking in the park, going shopping - all of it. I can tolerate anything I care to eat, and I can eat a reasonable amount. I love this surgery. I'm waiting , as I am sure we all are, to see if I have a bounce back weight gain - but I hope that my new eating habits and exercise will help minimize this. Next stop - plastic surgery for my arms and tummy!

You're not alone as you already know after reading all of the posts! I've lost 128 lbs, but to reach my goal of 150, I still need to lose 35-40 lbs. depending on the day. I've lost motivation, but I'm working hard to find it again! I'm thrilled with the surgery itself and the outcome, and I'm terrified that I will be one of those failures everyone seems to tell us about when they hear we've had WL surgery. Until recently, I've been pretty good with my diet, but not so diligent about getting enough exercise (although I did walk two miles a day for a few months in my rapid weight loss phase last spring.) Tomorrow, I'm starting a walking program again! I'm definitely interested in working with those of you in the same shoes so that we can encourage each other.

HEY HOLLY, HOW TRUE, IT'S AMAZING HOW SLOW THE BOARD HAS GOTTEN SINCE WE'VE ALL LOST SO MUCH WEIGHT AND GETTING ON W/ OUR LIVES. BUT IT'S A SHAME THAT MORE PEOPLE DON'T TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO GET ON BOARD AND SEND A LITTLE UPDATE. I'M SO GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU'RE DOING WELL AND HEALING FROM YOUR PLASTICS AND HAVE LOST ANOTHER 2.5#'s. I'VE ALSO BEEN DOING WELL, FEELING GREAT W/ THE EXCEPTION OF A BAD COLD FROM MOONLIGHTING AT THE OFFICE OF ONE OF THE PEDIATRICIANS I WORK W/ AT THE HOSP. I'VE FINALLY LOST A LITTLE MORE WEIGHT. I'VE BEEN STUCK AT 170 FOR MORE MONTHS THAN I CAN STAND. HAVEN'T GOTTEN ON THE SCALE BECAUSE I GOT ANNOYED W/ NOT SEEING IT MOVE. THIS PAST WED. I FINALLY BROKE DOWN AND GOT ON THE STUPID THING, WELL, MUCH TO MY SUPRISE I'M DOWN 4 #'s TO 166. I'D LOVE FOR IT TO BE WHERE EVERYONE ELSE IS, LIKE 120, 130. BUT I'M HAPPY THAT I FINALLY LOST SOME MORE WEIGHT. NOW I JUST HAVE ANOTHER 16#'s FOR MY PERSONAL GOAL. HAVEN'T SEEN OR HEARD FROM MELISSA FOR AWHILE BUT IF YOU CHECK OUT HER PERSONAL BLOG YOU'LL SEE TWO PICTURES OF BABY JACOB. HE'S SO CUTE. HE MUST HAVE BEEN SICK (POSS. RDS) AT FIRST BECAUSE IN THE ONE PICTURE HE'S ON HIS BELLY W/ AN IV AND ON MONITORS. (YOU'LL SEE THE WIRES). BUT THE SECOND PICTURE HE'S HOME W/ FAT LITTLE CHEEKS, YOU JUST WANT TO GET HIM AND BITE THOSE CHEEKS. THE SECOND PICTURE HE'S A WEEK OLD. HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT WEEK END AND HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER. DONNA, SFY

Good morning! Hope everyone is doing well! We are certainly slowing down on our board, aren't we?? I am doing well. I had a checkup with my family MD last week and lost 2.5 pounds, probably from my PS, but he was thrilled to see me and see how well I am doing! Was just wondering, has anyone heard from Melissa? Has Baby Jacob made his appearance yet?? If anyone knows, please let me know! Hugs, Holly

I am on board with you! I need to lose 20 lbs to reach my goal. I have been at a stand still for months and have been discouraged. Having the support again, I know will help me succeed. I was approved for a TT and will not schedule it until at least 15 of the 20 lbs. are gone! I am hoping by June I can undergo plastics. Good luck! Allison

Hi Jenn Thanks for the good wishes! Here I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't come up with the money and the courage for plastic work yet -- and I lost five more pounds! I'm just delighted. I may even hit 150 - a weight that I thought was completely unachievable. (I'm at 154 right now) I hope your body decides to give you a similar "gift" soon.

Hi Jenn...This sounds great...I am putting Bandits coat on him soon as I finish this....We will take a walk around the block!!! Its chilly but ok so far here....Bandit had a haircut Saturday and his hair is gone except for around his ears and tail....Can we say a bald shih tzu??? Lol well he was all matted and with me not being able to groom him due to not being able to grip with left hand yet he was a mess.....Ok I am off for the walk with Bandit!!!! Good luck everyone on this new start to lose!!! Hugs Judy
