Hi Tabby, I know exactly what you mean!!! It's just the beginning of a long road, especially for Dan. It broke his heart to see Jen in the courtroom yesterday....but he did make the decision to file for divorce. His attorney is going to file the papers next week and I know that Jen has no clue that's what his plans are. I asked him if he was absolutely sure this is what he wanted to do and he said yes....Dan thinks Jen will shoot herself in the foot, too! As hard as it is for Dan, he is handling things much better than I expected and I am very proud of him! I told Patty, I think Raven got more hugs and kisses from everyone last night than she has in her whole 2 years of life!!! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers....they more more to me than you will ever know!! I am so glad I can come to my October sisters!! Hugs, Holly

Dan made the biggest decision of his life -- to file for divorce. I asked him if he was sure and he said that he was. He said he doesn't want to live like this and he said everytime she would get mad at him this is what she would do to him. His attorney is going to file the papers next week and I can guarantee that Jen has no idea that's what his plans are. We are loving Raven!!!!!! She is so darn cute!!! She got more hugs and kisses last night than I bet she has in her whole 2 years of life!! LOL.... I am so glad I can come to my October sisters! Hugs, Holly

Hi Dawn, Our pastor told us that over the years Judge White has come to realize that the PFA's that women file are not always correct....I could tell that when I heard him speaking to my son.... Dan's attorney is going to file divorce papers for him next week....I can guarantee that Jen is not expecting it! Thanks for your prayers and good wishes....I am so glad I can come to my October sisters!!! Hugs, Holly

Thank you for your prayers. Dan made one of the biggest decisions of his life....he is filing for divorce. I asked him if he was sure and he said that he is....so, he is meeting with his attorney on Monday and she will file the papers for him on Tuesday....a certifed letter will be mailed to Jen the same day. I also found out that Jen and her attorney would rather have the custody week be from Monday to Monday instead of Wednesday to Wednesday, so they agreed to let Dan have her until next Friday -- he will have her 2 extra days and then Jen will have her 2 extra days as well....we enjoyed her more than you will ever know last night!!! I am so glad I can come to my October sisters .... Hugs, Holly

oh, holly...I'm so glad that you got the first score of the game...if you know what I mean. It is good that the judge was thinking of the welfare of Raven and let Dan have her. Sounds like he is on to Jen. I hope that everything else goes as smoothly as possible for you and your family. She's going to get pissed from all that is going to go down, but I'm sure that Jen is going to end up shooting herself in the foot. GOOD FOR HER!!!! Just keep reminding Dan to keep his cool and things will work out. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. All my love, sweetie... Tabby

Topic: Five Day Pouch Test....Any takers?
Dai had mentioned a 5-Day pouch test that she was doing on the CA board and it intruiged me. I did some digging to see what it was all about and basically you start back with the basics. Do 2 days of full liquids, 1 day of soft proteins, 1 day of firm proteins and 1 day of solid proteins. Check out this link for more details http://livingafterwls.blogspot.com/2007/08/five-day-pouch-test.html I have printed out the plan and have worked on a menu and am going to give this a try on Monday. I am 6 pounds from my goal and want to reach it by my surgiversary. I have been losing and gaining the same 4-5 pounds for the past couple of months, so I need to flush the carbs out of my system and detox, per se. I have noticed that I am snacking too much and grazing a bit. I think hubby is on board with me, too. Does anyone want to join me in this challenge? I'll post a daily thread to see how everyone is doing and how they are feeling. We could post our Day 1 weight and then after the 5 days see how everyone did. What do ya think? Look around on Kaye's blog. She has answered a lot of questions about the test and also even has a 5-Day Pouch Test Journal to keep track of what you are eating, how you are feeling and other info. Check it out here http://livingafterwls.blogspot.com/2007/08/5-day-pouch-test-journal-useful-tool.html Post to this thread if you want to join me and we will support each other and get us through this 5 day test. We can do anything for FIVE DAYS!!!! If nobody joins me, wish me luck. Hey, Dai...how did you do on the test? Did you lose anything? Let us know if you have any tips. Hugs, Tabby

Hi, Dawn. Hope you have a fun Girls Night!!! Last night Dave and Nate went to the fair to watch the Demolition Derby, so it was just me and Meg at home. Although I was working, so it wasn't much of a Girl's Night for us. I slept pretty good while working last night, so I didn't have to sleep too much today after I finished work. I am up early so I am going to get on my swimsuit and pick up the kids and take them swimming. They should like that. Tonight we are going to go to the fair for dinner. My splurge this week. Don't know what I want to get, but I WANT FAIR FOOD!!!!! I'll probably regret it later, but it sounds so yummy now. The kids will get to ride some rides and then the Motorcross/Quad races are tonight, so Nate will love that. I'll probably bring Megan home with me again when I have to start work. Our property backs up against the fairgrounds, so we buy weekly passes and go as much as possible. Nate loves it. Tonight is my last night work this week. It is an overtime night for me, so that makes me happy. The guy I work with is on vacation, so I had to go to the office three times this week and next week. I am already looking forward to payday in two weeks because I will have 20 hours of OT plus holiday pay for working on Labor Day. Nate wants a new tractor toy, so I want to get it for him from that pay. OK...time to go swimming. Hugs to everyone. Tabby

Good morning all! Had a quiet evening last night, we went to dinner with friends, then relaxed at home. Today is a quiet day at work. I'm hoping to get out for some fresh air at lunch time. Tonight is laundry and catching up on housework..yes, not so exciting, but necessary so I can go into the weekend "all caught" up and not have to worry about such things.
