What do you eat at various ethnic restaurants? Chinese? Italian? Indian? Mexican? Other?
Do you eat pizza? How much? What toppings?

Topic: RE: time between food and drink?
This is one of the basics that I need to get back to doing, THIS WEEK!!! I am getting bad at not only drinking within half an hour of a meal, but with drinking WITH my meals. If we go out to dinner, I order tea and drink it while I am eatting. I usually only have a few sips and then get a to-go cup to take the rest with me. I hate to spend $1.89 on a drink and leave it on the table. I need to stop drinking with my meals and 1/2 an hour before and after meals.
Now I will go and hide because I know I am being a bad girl.
Hugs,
Tabby
Topic: burgers and other sandwiches
I sometimes cook myself a burger...I know the quality of the meat and what's in it and I top it with cheese and tomato slices and onion and mushrooms...but sometimes I want one when I am out. The only things I ever order when out are fish or chicken. Sometimes I really crave burgers! Not from fast food, but from decent places.
Anyone ever order burgers or other sandwiches out? What's that like for you?

Topic: rice and pasta
And another!
Are you eating rice and/or pasta? My nutritionist had said to avoid it the first year. I have had a couple bites of rice and it fills me fast. I;ve had a few rice cakes and they can leave me uncomfortable. I have not had any pasta yet.

Topic: time between food and drink?
I appreciate all the responses to my last question. Here's another: Are you still waiting half an hour between eating and drinking?
I usually try, but don't always.

I buy ALOT of my protein stuff off this site. There are so many low carb options out there that are tasty. Not even just drink mixes, but things like low carb pretzels and pita bread.
Topic: RE: booze
I am going to have to look for those. I didn't know that they had any sugar free options.
Topic: RE: booze
i am a lil drunk after about 4 to 6 oz of wine so I have only had it two times. I also had a glass of champagne at my best friend's wedding but, I was never a drinker anyway. it's okay to have one once in awhile but please be careful of those sugary drinks! Wine is only the lower end of the carb scale as far as alcohol is and of course, vodka is as well but not when you add orange juice or cranberry juice. Just pouring sugar and carbs into your pouch. Anyway, if you are going to partake, I'd say there are a lot of low carb/low sugar choices out there. You can also try the Baha Bob's sugarfree mixes they sell everywhere.
Topic: RE: booze
Hi there Lisa!
I've had wine, a few sips of beer and a few sips of margarita... Alcohol affects me differently now -- I feel the effects after much less. A 1/4 glass is all I could do.
When wine tasting in Napa, there was no way I could be the driver, even with those small amounts poured.
The good side? It's very economical and my BF calls me a "cheap date." I'm sure he means the alcohol...

Topic: RE: booze
Hi Lisa,
I have had a few drinks. I tried beer.. Too foamy.. But is ok if you want to sip on something. I might drink like a 1/4 of it..
When I went to Hawaii I had a frozen Mi ty (spelling??.. lol. I am a dork). I had like 1/2 of it over 1 hour, felt ok..
Went out to see Donny Osmond in Concert ( I know.. even a bigger dork now!!) And had a Cosmo. Liked that drink.. But felt really tipsy over just 1/2 of it.. Sipped a little more and felt ok.
I have never had a full drink. I think the sugar would make me sick. But who knows.. I just sip and enjoy.
Seems like everyone is different.. I dont think it would hurt to try something. I would just do it where you can lay down or leave if you need to..
Hope this helps!!
Luvs and Hugs!
