Good morning Octoberites!!!!! For me, it is work, of course, today. Tonight, we just HAVE to get working on the quilt squares. My neighborette seems to have procrastinated this project until the very last minute! We are having a shower for our other neighbor who had a baby August 13th and we are having each member of the two families decorate a quilt square for him. The shower is THIS Saturday and we have not even begun! Oh well.....we will just have to rally to get it done in time. I am a bit upset with David.......Last Friday, I took his football coaches to task for threatening to bench David for the rest of the season because he was going to miss a Fresh/Soph game due to the commitment to go camping with his Boy Scout troop that was made last April. (David is a Freshman, and they only let them play in the Friday game if they are winning big anyway, then, only in the last quarter.) Anyway......I really gave them H*LL, and told them and their bosses that they WOULD NOT be benching David for doing what is right. What does David do??????? He did not go to practice last night!!!!!! Now, I just look like a royal b**ch, trying to make excuses for my "precious" son. Hopefully, today will be a better day. I am looking forward to Sunday, when a bunch of us from the Illinois board are going to get together for a "meet and greet" in the suburbs of Chicago. We are meeting by a big shopping mall and an Ikea store. I think I will check out Ikea.....I've never been there and have heard that it is pretty cool. There is also a Trader Joe's not too far from there, so I may pop over there too!!! Trader Joe's ROCKS!!!!!!! I like Lisa's idea of the anniversary stories, and I will start working on mine, even though I don't think it is very interesting...... I also need to get my rings sized and you girls have given me incentive to see how many sizes I've lost there too! What is going on in your corner of the world???? Dawn

Hey, Maria. What are you...a World traveler now that you've lost so much weight. No stopping you. Welcome back. I can't believe our Surgiversaries are coming just around the corner. Right now I am enjoying fall coming (other than not used to the cold weather yet). I love football/soccer season and I LOVE FALL FOILAGE!!!! I might even go to our High School Homecoming this year. Nate is playing soccer, so we are running with that. Not much new here. I have my pre-op appt with my Plastic Surgeon on 10/9. I can't wait for that. I can't believe my PS is less than two months away. I need to get in so Christmas shopping before then because I know I will be uncomfortable for a while after the surgery. But, heck, there is always shopping online and gift cards, which don't take much effort. People will understand. Other than that, just out living life and enjoying running into people on the soccer fields and at the malls that haven't seen me in a year or more. Love the looks of people trying to figure out who I am before I open my mouth and speak. It's great. Hope you had a nice trip. Tell us about it and share some photos. Hugs, Tabby
