Topic: last of this medical problem, I hope!
Just a quick update...I had an ultrasound last week and met with a new gyn this evening...and I finally feel like I met THE DOCTOR. He believes I have an infection of the urethra, brought on by Dr. ***** pushing bacteria into me as she tried to force me open! He could tell this by the point of the pain as he examined me and I identified it, by a swelling on the urethra, and by the symptoms I described and what had been ruled out. He really seemed to know what he was talking about and had a great way about him - his whole office did, in fact. Even made me laugh.
He couldn't seem to get his head around why the other gyn did an endometrial biospy to begin with, nor why she wanted to do a d&c. The ultrasound looked good - uterus is healthy, etc. He explained things well and answered my questions and I'm feeling more peace of mind than I have in weeks!
He gave me an antibiotic that he said should target only that infection and some more pain meds to help till I feel better. If I'm not feeling significantly better by Thursday, I am to call him to schedule an MRI...but he thinks this is it and I'll be feeling better soon
Thanks again for the support!

Holly,
Wow, is right! Look how far you have come! Can you believe that you've lost 15 inches off of your waist? That's crazy! And a size 10? You go, girl!! You have much to be proud of!

Topic: RE: Stomaphyx - have any of you heard of this procedure?
Michelle,
My surgeon and others in his office are now offering this surgery. It's super new, so I don't know anyone personally who has had it.
I've also heard that in the near future, all abdominal surgeries (i.e. gall bladder, etc) will be done through the mouth. They've even gone so far as to say that some day these surgeries will be done in the doctor's office. Scary, huh?

Patti, I don't know what you MD has suggested or how much you want to lose in total. Your BMI will also be a determining factor.
You must make sure you eat everything you are supposed to eat or you will not lose weight. Aim for 60-72 oz protein daily. Make sure you get those healthy carbs in too, but only after you get all your protein in at each meal. Are you drinking you 64+ oz of fluids each day?
How much do you walk? Can you add to it? Try something new, maybe swimming or dancing or gym exercises.
Have you gone over everything you're eating with your nutritionist?

It is finished-----well, almost. I did not buy enough binding for all the way around, so it will be completely finished by Wednesday.
I have posted pictures on my profile.
Each person in our two families painted a square to represent something about themselves that would be memorable to the baby's family.
Jonna makes strawberry pie that the daddy loves. Andy is famous for cutting down trees (chainsaw) and saying "don't step on the hostas". Their son, Tim, helped the dad polish his semi, and their son Matt is a computer whiz that helps them fix the computer.
In our family, Todd is known as "Todd, Todd the Fire God", becuse he loves to build fires for us all to enjoy, I tie dyed mine, Olivia loves tropical fish and David plays football and drums in the marching band.
Everyone have a lovely day!

Well let's see I started @ 296 my heaviest ever, I have lost only 78 lbs, I try to eat only what the MD suggested which is kind of hard for me because I can't make my self eat more than 3 times a day, I do Yoga every morning and walk every evening and I'm 29 years old, as for my life I really have no major stress ...same old you know work, bills but that's about it I just don't know what more to do I've been stuck for over 3 months
