Holly,
What a change!! A little black dress AND high heels. Feels good doesn't it?
The pictures of you and Raven show a transformation in both of you. Neither one of you look the same.
Not many people are posting. I hope all are doing well.
The past 21 months have flown so quickly. Most of the times have been good. I have had two more surgeries for hernias, bowel compression and scar tissue. Another hernia has appeared but I'm not ready for the repairs yet. I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy which the Neurologist attributes to WLS. The last bone scan showed a 20% bone loss in my hips. No big deal compared to the co-morbidities before surgery!!!
All are nothing more than bumps in the road in my opinion. I feel so much better weighing 111 pounds than I did at 320 pounds.
It was good to hear from you. Keep up the good work.
Annette

Hey Holly,
Just came on board and saw your post. I very rarely come here any more since so few people post. I'm usually on the RNY, weight loss and weight loss success boards.
Girl !!!!! That dress looks great on you. You look fantastic, you along w/ everyone else have come so far and w/ such success, I'm jealous, I still feel "fat" even though I'm down from 313 to 166, a size 26/28 to a 14/16. Still see myself as "that big lady over there." I've been stalled for over 5 months, makes me crazy. It doesn't help that I'm not exercising, just walking up and down 4 flights of stairs 2 times a day for 3 days while at work. Other than that? nada, nothing, no exercise. Lazy is as lazy does.
Hope you've had a great summer so far. We're enjoying a wonderful, hot, humid summer here in the south, today? 95 w/ a heat index of 105.
Keep in touch,
Donna, sfy southern fried yankee

Thanks, Evelyn!
I wondered if anyone would read this, due to the low activity here. I miss that too, but am as guilty as anyone...of living a much fuller life than we used to!

Lisa, you are a STAR! (Of course we knew that already!) How nice to get to read about you - and to see that you are kicking diabetes in the a$$! Fabulous! You look great too - hard to believe that it has been almost two years, isn't it?
It was so nice to see some activity on this board. I miss the old days when I could check in and see what is going on in everyone's lives! But, I guess these surgeries worked the way they are supposed to, and we are out there busy living - instead of on the computer.
Thank you so much for sharing this article with us. Congratulations!

I did this interview some months ago and they were going to tell me when it was published, but they didn't! I just found it on the web. Enjoy!

Topic: RE: Is Anyone Still Trying To Lose?
Dawn,
Hello, I saw your post and wanted to ask you how you are doing? I would like to know about the plan with the 4 food groups so I can try it. I know I have gained 10 -15 pounds and it's driving me nuts. Also I know it's the things I have been eating too. I really have just given up and now it is really bothering me. I had my RNY Sep 1 06 and I weighed 388 the day of surgery and my lowest weight was 217. Now i am around 232 and I don't like it. I want to get down to 180 since i am 5'9 tall and i have big bones. I think that will be a perfect weight for me. I will be having a tummy tuck next year and I know that will take off alot of the problem but I want to be that 180 before that happens. If you can help me that would be awsome. I really need something. Thanks Mary

Hi Molly.
boredom eating is a big issue for me as well.
i just cant leave the sweets, biscuits and chocolates alone.
put a plate in front of me then i cant even look at it.
but sweet things is another story.
i never used to have a sweet tooth before the op.
