Is Anyone Still Trying To Lose?
Hey jenn,
no you are certainly not alone. I also still have alot of weight to lose. My personal goal is 150# which is still on the high side for my height of 5' 2". I started out at 313# and i'm at 169# right now.
I'm not helping myself though. I'm not motivated, don't go to a gym, although I do walk up 4 flights of stairs 2-3 times on the three days I work. I'm no****ching what I eat, tater chips, dark chocolate, you get the picture. I've never tracked the food I eat and don't plan to start now.
So, you're not alone girl, don't give up, I figure as long as it still comes off I don't care how long it takes.
It makes me crazy when I see alot the the oct. Sisters at sizes 8 -12. I'm still at 18, but that's a wonderful improvement from a 26/28 from two years ago.
So keep the the great work you've accomplished so far and keep looking forward.
Donna, sfy
Hey Donna!
You are doing so well! Congratulations! Did you ever think you would be a size 18 again? I'm fluctuating between a 14 and 16 (coming from a 36W pant). I think your goal weight should be what you feel comfortable with, not what someone else says. My original goal for myself was 180 (I'm 5'6" and weigh 196 right now), which I never thought I would see. After my one year check up, I decided to change it to 165. The PA told me that based on how well my last 6 months had gone, that I should easily be able to get to that weight. She told me that the average weight loss in the second year is only 12-24 pounds but I could do 40-45. I hope she's right.
I wonder if we are all hitting that point of non motivation right now? It's so hard to keep away from those old habits. I did some hard thinking yesterday and decided that I'd come too far to quit now so I joined Curves. I plan on walking on the days that I don't go there. Since I've tried everything else, I know that the only way I'm going to get these last pounds off is to exercise.
Good luck to you on your continuing weight loss quest!

You ARE SO NOT ALONE!! I thought I was the only one out there left!! I still have ATLEAST 90 pounds to go to get to a goal weight I put for myself, of 150, and I dont even know if that's realistic, but I thought I was being generous - yeah, I'd love to get to the 120's, but I just dont think that could ever happen.....
I'm still losing every month, and a generous amount, but still have way more to go - I've lost more than 1/2 of me so far, and yes, I should be happy, but I just keep focusing on how much more there is to go, and think it's just going to take longer and get harder now.
Michelle!
I was looking at your recent pictures and you look fabulous!! Way to go! I'm so happy that you are still able to lose generous amounts this far out.
Like I said above, we need to make our goal weights what we are comfortable with and also take into account where we came from weight wise. I know that because I weighed much more than most here, I will never see the lower weights. I'm learning to be ok with that.
Keep up the good fight. You are inspiring to us all!
Jenn
No you are definately not alone. I still would like to lose approx. 15 more pounds to get to my new goal. I am only 5'1'' and I am still at the high end for my weight compared to my height. I think we do need a challenge. It seems so hard anymore to lose a pound. I am tracking what I eat and exercising almost everyday. I only eat between 900-1100 calories per day and mostly protein and veggies.
I have 4 lbs to go to my original goal; I've lost 156. I feel pretty good where I'm at - last jeans I bought were a size 8. I don;'t know how much more I actually could go down without plastics. When I reach my goal, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and if I lose more, great. If I just continue to shape up and get healthier, also great.
