March of Dimes
Dear October Sisters,
As you all know, I'm involved with both full term and premature babies on a daily basis in the work I do, caring for the very healthy to the very sick babies. I'm very passionate in what I do and I'm always trying to learn new ways we as healthcare workers can enhance the lives of every baby we come into contact with. So on the behalf of every baby, I'm not above begging, because every year more than half a million babies are born to soon and 120,000 are born with birth defects.
So I'm reaching out to each and every one of my October sisters, their friends and families to assist in the March of Dimes quest that "One day, every baby will be born healthy". Please donate to either your local chapter of March of Dimes or I will gladly take your donations. If you would like to donate to my quest please make out checks to "The March of Dimes". Every dollar goes into research, family assistance when babies are in the NICU, equipment in the NICU and normal newborn nurseries, education, etc . . . .
So please reach into your pockets and HELP.

DONNA, SFY
Hi, Donna. My MIL is the charge nurse on the post-partum unit at one of our local hospitals. She coordinates the March of Dimes Walk for her hospital. Last year I started walking with her. Before that I just sent my kids and stayed at home and enjoyed the time alone. Now that I have lost 130 pounds I, too, will walk. Supporting the March of Dimes is a great cause.
Good luck.
Tabby
Hey Tabby,
Thanks so much for your support for all babies. It really is a wonderful cause. As a NICU nurse we see all the spectrums of sickness in these really little to full term babies so every dollar that can, and does help is a wonderful thing.
I hope you and your will enjoy the walk.
130 ? girl, that is fantastic. i'm still strugling with the last 19 - 20 pounds till I reach my personal goal of 150. Makes me nuts.
thanks again for your support and keep up the great work
