Can you say over stuffed pig?
Oh my GOD!! did I over do it yesterday. What with the turkey, the green beans, the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the cranberry sauce, etc . . . .
You all get the picture, but the food was so good. We had our turkey at lunch time, 12:00 because I had to be at work and clock in at 2:40. If I must say so myself everything turned out delish, but I really over did it. I was filled to the gills, literally, i ate so much I felt misrable, stomach and esopagus pain, cramping, and breaking out in a cold sweat. But would I do it again? Hell yes, in a heart beat, how many times do we get to eat this type of food, not to often in my house.
How was everyone elses food intake? did you all overdo it?
Donna, sfy
Hi Donna! Your meal sounds wonderful, and it's only once a year, right?
I actually did well with my eating, surprisingly. I had two Thanksgiving parties to attend - the first one with my family and the second with some dear friends. I was able to eat/taste everything that looked good to me, and still stop before I was stuffed. I don't always have that kind of control, but yesterday was a good day!
Looking forward to reading about everyone else's Thanksgivings too.
I did great for the meal portion. After dinner I was watching everyone else snack and started to eat some cheese and crackers. I did ok, but I'm not used to eating between meals anymore. It made me feel like crap.
I was able to keep my calories for the day at 1300, only 100 more than a normal day for me. I'm happy to say that the scale read the same this morning as it did yesterday. Phew!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
Jenn
I did pretty good. I had a small sampling of most of my favorites. I didn't get sick at all from eating too much. I had a small spoon of about 5 different things and didn't have seconds. I did have a piece of pie with light whipped cream. I shared it with Megan. Everything was delicious. I don't know what it did to my weight because I have not been weighing myself since my surgery because I am still so swollen.
Glad you dinner went well, Donna.
Hugs,
Tabby
Hi ya!!
Sounds like you had a super dinner!! Sorry you didn't feel so good after though =0(
I can say for once I did not feel like a "stuffed pig" lol. I ate a bite or two of everything offered and even had some pie ( soy bean - sounds weird but OMG it was YUMO!). Heck even got up the next day and had lost a pound *grin*. I did not even try to "limit" or anything. Just ate what I wanted and stopped when I was full.
I love the holidays now!! Its amazing how much of the holidays I was missing before as I was so buried in my plate of food. I never realized you could actually EAT and have a conversation hahahaha.
We had a wonderful time! Friends, family, good food and weight loss LOL couldn't ask for more then that!!
Have a super holiday season!!!
*huggles*
Felicia =0)
I did fairly well.
I took about 1/2 - 1 spoonfull of everything I wanted and ate until I was full. I too had a tiny piece of pie even, it was sooo good.
The best part ...we took the train to Philly on Thanksgiving morning to watch the parade and walked and walked and WALKED...
I am proud to say that I managed to loose a pound over the holiday....so cool!
Hi Donna,
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! I did well....we didn't eat until 5.....but I had a small spoonful of everything that I like and even had a small piece of pie.....I stopped eating as soon as I felt full -- which I am very proud of!!!! Before surgery I could have eaten and eaten and eaten!!!!!
Hugs,
Holly
